Excellent AR-15 5.56mm Cleaning Rod Guide

Fits tight and worked well, but next usage ought to wipe outside w/ oily rag before inserting into chamber to make usage even easier. Excellent tool for cleaning.

Good Tool

I use these in two calibers and they work great. They are easy to use and allow cleaning my AR without a mess.

A great bore guide for the AR-15

I've used this on many AR-15's and it does a great job on the 6.5 Grendel chambers. It will work for the 6mm ARC but the ID is just a little larger than optimum for the 6mm ARC neck/bore.

A must have

Any time I purchase a long gun I always purchase a bore guide for that particular weapon. These are a necessity for proper cleaning rod alignment. Sinclair has never disappointed me in this area. The only thing I can say negative about this purchase was, I always receive my bore guides in a clear plastic tube, which I always save to store my guide in to keep it from being nicked or getting dirty. This purchase it arrived in a plastic bag which was disappointing.

Bought for my 224 Valkyrie, works just fine, and well made.

Works great

I built a 6.8 AR on Spikes upper / lower and this guide rod fit the upper perfectly, the o-ring made a really tight seal against the chamber and I've no doubt it prevented the solvent from leaking back into the upper receiver. The rear of the guide has the cut-out for applying solvent / oil while the patch / mop is in the guide, no mess at all. I use a Dewey cleaning rod and not once did I feel the rod contact the bore. For the price and functionality, I fully intend to buy the 223/556 guide for the AR and possibly the WSM guide rod for my Browning X-Bolt.

A rod guide and the link, have them for my ar-15,works on my DPMS lr-308 Don't know how you could clean eather with out them

Rod guide

A rod guide that works, fits like it should. Solvent port is a plus.

Get one

These rod guides are an excellent item and will make cleaning the bore of your rifle so much easier. Not only does it make it easy but it protects your chamber area and prevents the chemicals from going into your lower. These new models even have a hole to add your solvents after the patch/brush is inside the rod guide. Get one for every rifle you own you wont regret it.
