SINCLAIR O-RING ROD GUIDES FOR 25 TO 280 CAL

SINCLAIR O-RING ROD GUIDES FOR 25 TO 280 CAL Reviews & Ratings

Our Centerfire Cleaning Rod Guides are designed to insert into your action In place of your bold or bolt carrier. They feature a snout with a silicone "O"-ring that inserts into your chamber, sealing the barrel off from the receiver. The "O"-ring prevents solvents from leaking back into the action area and gumming up the trigger assembly. We currently stock "O"-ring rod guides for over 1000 different action/cartridge combinations. Each rod guide is machined to fit specific actions and cartridge families from .17 up to .338 caliber. Unfortunately some rifle chamberings do not lend themselves to an "O"-ring style rod guide, for these cartridges we recommend one of our Adjustable Cone Style Rod Guides. In an effort to better serve the cleaning needs of our customers, we have upgraded our Sinclair "O"-ring rod guides to include integral solvent ports. This upgrade is now included with every centerfire bolt action rod guide and nearly all AR style rod guides. If you prefer a rod guide without an integral solvent port, please contact us via e-mail or phone and we will happily provide you with a rod guide to your liking. These rod guides without solvent ports will be treated as semi-custom, so please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery of rod guides without solvent ports. There is no additional charge for rod guides without integral solvent ports.

NOTE: Measure across around area of bolt about in middle with set of dial calipers. Contact Sinclair Reloading tech for proper rod guide.

Good bore guide
So I bought this for a Tikka T3X Tac A1 but realized that after measuring it's bolt diameter that the new Tikkas use a .690 bolt diameter so it was slightly undersized. However, this is easily remedied by wrapping a section of the guide in masking tape. Just be aware that you'll need to do this if you want it to fit snugly for a Tikka T3X series. Otherwise it's perfect.

O-Ring guide rod
I like it, but the oring should be a little tighter

Ruger 6.5 Precision rifle
I purchased this product for my 6.5 creedmoor Ruger Precision Rifle and find that it seems to fit very good in the chamber with enough length to extend 1.5 " out the back of bolt receiver. O-ring seems to fit snug in chamber so I thing this will work good.

Bore diameter isn't everything
I have a Fierce Rage 7mm Mag and the bore guide for the 0.9 bolt does not reach the chamber. The rifle has a 8.5" twist barrel, obviously intended for longer bullets and, I think, has a longer throat as a result. The o-ring winds up floating in space instead of seating against the chamber.

Did not fit.
Very nice but did not fit my Barnard model P. Was slightly too big in diameter so had to turn it down by 4 thou! Now fits OK and works well.

Weatherby Mark V action
I bought this Rod guide for my Wheatherby Varmint Master 7-08 REM with the Mark V action and unfortunately the guide is too thick for the action. My rifle is a bolt action single shot. I got my rifle about 12 years ago. I have a similar one for my Rem 700 and it fit perfectly. Too bad it did not fit in my Weatherby.
