I needed this shorter trigger to bring my SR1911 FS into full combat grip for my smaller hands. A small amount of fitting was required but the result was perfect. My next 1911 had a short trigger but I purchased this Brownell's product again. Just outstanding value and quality!

Well-made replacement for the steel and plastic Colt factory part. Mine was the medium length and required minor fitting.

Nice trigger for the price
It arrived straight and in good shape. It was slightly oversized in height. Good product. It came 0.922 tall. I had to file it evenly down to 0.913. It took a few min. Dont forget to break all 4 edges, or it can hang up there. Also dont forget to make sure hammer hooks are assured clear when setting the overtravel. You need to add locktite to be secure. Now it passes all action tests and feels good. It also looks better than stock K trigger.

Installed short trigger into RIA 1911. Now feels like the 1911's I shot (way back in the day) in the Army. Only took a few minutes to fit, and the results are outstanding. Trigger pull is smoother than the RIA trigger. Highly recommend.
Great Part Great Value
This is one of the best deals on Brownells. I can't believe the the top quality that you get for the price. The trigger is very, very well made. You will not be disappointed. I fitted one on my Springfield 1911 and one on my Taurus PT-1911. The part is a light aluminum that will prevent inertial discharge that may come from other heavy alloys.
My new favorite
I cannot believe how much other companies charge for lower quality triggers. I only which this thing came in black. Best trigger I've ever used. The bow is way stiffer than most. Does require fitting but anything good usually does. overall I'm extremely impressed and plan to use then in all or most of my builds that use a silver trigger.
my favorite trigger
I use this trigger with an arched mainspring housing on my kimber TLE RL. It was an easy upgrade to improve the fit in my hand. I like the looks too, but I appreciate the improvement in trigger feel and pull most. My accuracy has improved but that may be mostly "placebo effect".
