I have installed several brands of drop-in triggers. This is my favorite. It is crisp and has a clean and consistent reset. You can’t go wrong.
Milspec look, 10x better feel
I've purchased three or four of this exact trigger now for my current ARs and for future builds. First, if you're into retro builds or keeping that standard milspec look, but want a crisp, simple drop-in trigger, the curved CMC trigger is the best on the market by far. Every other drop-in trigger I've ever seen has a fancy or funky (almost toyish) look to the trigger bow, and I've always hated that. In addition, the anti-walk pins that come with this trigger are secured by very minimalist-looking, black torx head screws, which are barely noticeable once installed (and should probably be installed with PURPLE loctite). Some have noted that the included screws broke as they tightened them down. I have not had this problem. Though CMC does sell additional screws. On to the feel of it (curved, single stage 5lb pull). As you put force against the trigger, there's almost no movement at all (nearly imperceptible) until you reach the full 5lbs, at which point there's an immediate, fairly short (compared to milspec), noticeably crisp break. Not quite as crisp as breaking a candy cane, but definitely very close. The reset is likewise fairly short. Compared to a milspec trigger, this CMC drop-in trigger is a dream. My ability to keep my sights from shifting as I pull through is greatly improved with this 5lb CMC over a milspec trigger. If you're simply looking for a drop-in trigger that's smoother, has a much crisper break and a little bit lighter pull weight, and has shorter overall travel than milspec, but is still a very safe trigger, this CMC is about as close to perfect as possible. This is what milspec SHOULD be, in my opinion. If you're looking for a competition trigger, I'm guessing you'll want a lighter pull weight. In that case, you'll possibly complain that this is not quite crisp enough and that the overall travel is not quite short enough. But if you want a trigger for more serious purposes, you probably don't want a deadly weapon having a hair trigger. I previously bought a 4lb single-stage curved trigger from another manufacturer, and even though it wasn't an extremely light pull, it still felt just a bit too light for serious use. Probably not light enough for competition use, neither safe enough for use in a deadly weapon in a stressful situation. Bear in mind that a qualified milspec trigger for the M4/M16 will have an acceptable trigger pull weight between 5.5lbs to 8.5lbs. As a trigger pull weight falls below the lowest end of milspec one can only assume the likelihood of an accidental discharge under high stress (when trigger discipline inevitably declines) will progressively increase with each lb of pull weight reduction. In my opinion, the 5lb pull weight is perfect. Not too light. Not too heavy.
Get this for your 15-22
The search is over. My daughter is shooting Steel Challenge with a S&W M&P 15-22. Her abilities have exceeded the stock mil-spec trigger. I have put two other triggers from a well known manufacturer in with poor results (light primer strikes). I installed a Volquartsen firing pin to try to resolve this without success. I was about to put the factory trigger in and trigger this trigger and 100% reliability.
CMC 4,5 Lb flat shoe trigger
These are numbers Four and Five CMC triggers for me two are collaborations with other companies and less than four-pound pull weight. They are good to shoot, but the range we frequent for re-current training courses want four pounds plus, so these last two are for training they are the same as my first. I will stay with what works for me.

Easy to install - great action. Recommend to anyone who wants a sharp, crisp trigger.
Easy and works as advertised
Easy to install and break is very crisp. Going to monitor those screws for the first few hundred rounds to make sure i got enough locktite on them.
Crisp, consistent and great reset
This is the fourth one I've bought. I prefer single stage triggers to all applications. CMC makes a great product.
Great trigger
Soooo easy to install! Great trigger with a crisp trigger pull. The straight trigger gives a great amount of consistency as it has a bump/nontechnical in the bottom so your finger pulls the same area each time. I will probably buy one for any future ARs I have.
