Poor quality control
Bought this receiver as it had decent reviews. Wish I had inspected closer before assembling. There were pretty obvious tool marks on the exterior of the receiver. Mag well is clearly not quite to spec; GI "slant" style 20rd magazines do not drop free. 30rd PMAGs also have issues dropping free on occasion. Generally not great fit/finish. In comparison, my Palmetto State Armory and Aero Precision are works of art. The good news is that barring some issues with magazine fitment it does at least more or less function when attached to a decent upper receiver. Currently using with a DMR style upper where the lower's preference for polymer 20rd magazines is a good fit. Tried contacting the company, no dice. Given that it is a serialized number and my lower appears to function acceptably for my intended purpose, I kept it. Would not purchase another one however. Recommend that shoppers look elsewhere for a good mil spec lower.

Out of Spec. Do Not Buy
Magwell is tight, mags bind and don't drop free. OK, I will swap my AR 9 over to it. NO GO. My Hahn Precision dedicated conversion block will not fit. Way too tight at the top of the well. 17 Design appears to be out of business. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=17+design

Bad mag well machining
Picked up one of these from the Brownells store over the weekend. Finish looked good on it when I visually inspected it at the store. When I got home I first checked fit with a couple different uppers, no pins, and all my uppers (4) fit a little looser side to side on this lower than any of my other lowers. This isn't great, but not a deal breaker for the sale price of $49.99. Then I checked magazine fit into the mag well and it didn't go well. I used a standard Colt GI mag that fits all of my guns without issue and I could not get a magazine in far enough to align the mag catch hole with the mag catch slot in the magazine. I tried about a dozen times and gave up. It looks like the magazine well is not squarely cut; the mag rubs the front left but never touches the front right; contact is made all the way across the rear of the mag well. Not sure who or where they are getting these inspected, but they need to find someone else. I'll be returning to Brownells this weekend and getting an Aero for replacement.

Out of spec
Bolt catch roll pin hole was machined too large. Tried multiple different roll pins. All of them would slide out.
