AR-15 INTEGRATED FOLDING LOWER RECEIVER Reviews & Ratings

Introducing the IFLR-15 (Integrated Folding Lower Receiver). The 17 Design & Manufacturing IFLR AR15 Stripped Lower Receiver is the perfect base for your AR15 build. Machined to mil-spec dimensions, their lowers work with standard AR15 components and ensure the highest quality and parts interchangeability. The IFLR-15 has the folding mechanism machined directly into the lower receiver. All wearable parts are made from S7 tool steel which leads to extreme wear resistance and corrosion resistant coatings ensure your IFLR stays mint for years to come.

Additional features:

  • Upper tensioning screw- allows user to fine tune the fit of the upper and lower through the use of a nylon tipped tensioning set screw in the grip tang of the receiver.
  • Flared magwell angle- Wider angles in the magwell allow a more flared feel without increasing the width/footprint of the lower receiver.
  • Features a threaded bolt catch pin.

Comes with Specialty H1 Buffer, nylon tipped set screw, and assembled IFLR in stripped lower configuration ready for your custom build.

Will Not Purchase Again
Purchased this LR as part of a 11.5" 223/556 Wyld pistol build. Upon 75% completion, noticed the BCG gate on the 17DM would not retract fully when stock closed (see photo). If you were to turn the firearm upside down and rattle it around a bit, the BCG would clear the slightly exposed BCG gate. Final analysis; this 17DM LR is defective and should not have passed quality control! Tried contacting 17DM directly but got no response. So I called Brownell's who, and I think this a rare instance for a serialized part, accepted return of the 17DM LR. Of course that's another transfer fee and FFL fee. Received the second 17DM LR, and this time the BGG gate closed all the way with the stock closed, but now the BCG gate does not close at all when the stock is folded. My FFL/gunsmith graciously dissected the internals of the 17DM gate mechanism and found a white crusty substance within the mechanism - possibly some OLD type of lube. Now it seems to work properly. My advise is DON'T DO IT! Pay the extra money and get an add-on folding adapter. Had I known 2 out of 2 17DM LR units would be defective, I would have not purchased.
