CZ75 MAGAZINE BLUED STEEL

CZ75 MAGAZINE BLUED STEEL Reviews & Ratings

Brownells went straight to the source for quality pistol magazines, Meccanica del Sarca of Italy. Meccanica del Sarca has been producing OEM magazines for major firearms manufacturers since the late 1980s. Now, these quality magazines are available direct to you. Meccanica del Sarca stamps, welds and finishes the magazines in-house, and has strict quality controls for its heat treatment and surface finishing suppliers. These magazines feature a dark blued finish, that makes magazines changes smooth and fast. Polymer follower smoothly operates within the blued magazine body. Witness holes a the rear provide a quick assessment of remaining cartridges.

However, consistent issues with slide lock failure and fit problems were noted, leading some to upgrade parts. Overall, affordability is a highlight, but quality control appeared inconsistent.

MDS CZ75 15round magazines
I purchased a hand full of these Italian made magazines made by MDS, which is owned by Beretta. They are identical to the magazine that came with my Tanfoglio Witness small frame. Well made and at a decent price.

CZ 75 Mec-Gar 15 round magazines
These are the same manufacture as the OEM magazines. You can't beat this price point. By far the best magazines for the money.

Fantastic Price and Works!
Recently purchased a CZ-75 B and already had an EAA Witness P small frame pistol and was looking for an alternative to their expensive mec-gar mags. I couldn't believe the price on these so I ordered 10. After receiving I checked functionality and was surprised to see they worked perfectly considering the other reviews on this product. Slides locked back on both pistols and fit as snug as the OEM mags. The only complaint I can see with these mags is slight difficulty to fit 15 rounds as advertised. However, for the price I can't complain at all (paid $4.99 each). Looking at my EAA (made by Tangfoglio, an Italian company), the magazine seems to be identical, (i.e made by this company) other than the floor-plate having a plastic cover on it. EAA was selling these for 50 bucks when I first purchased my pistol, glad I didn't buy any of those!

Works with replacement follower
Needed compliant 15 round mags, but Mec-Gar are vaporware and $50 a piece. I replaced the followers on these, as they did not lock the slide on empty. The CZ oems did not work, so I put in Mec-Gar followers available online, and they worked perfect.

Good mags, bad followers.
The mags are basic mags, but they look good and function reliably, however the followers on every single one fail to lock the slide back on my 75b. For five bucks a mag, I'll eat the cost of Mec-Gar followers.

Slide does not lock back with these magazines
Received my magazines. They are for a new CZ75 BD. As other reviews have stated, they will not hold the slide back. Other than that they seem to be ok. Finish is nice, they are smooth.. most of all they fit! Ordered the upgrade kit which is a new follower and magazine spring, I am sure that will fix the slide lock issue. Of course my "bargain" magazine just became, not such a bargain.

Ordered 2, 1 *Mostly* Works, 1 doesn't
Ordered two. One mag is a *TIGHT* fit, and has to be pulled out (won't drop free). It feeds rounds fine, however. The other mag's base was slightly loose, and reallllly had to be pushed in there, but then wouldn't come out at all (had to partially break down the pistol, and use a thick, wooden shim and push it out). I couldn't find anything visual that would indicate why, although the top edge of the mag body appears to be leaving a mark on the follower, so I'm wondering if the edges are just a tiny bit off enough to "lock" the mag in place enough to necessitate it being forced out from the inside. Haven't tried to fire it yet with the "good" mag, and it's taking Brownell's over a week to acknowledge the exchange request (they still haven't). Tough to find, so I'm ordering a second one just in case they take too long and someone else snags what's likely a low-stock item. 3-stars for the good mag, 0-stars for the bad one, being generous with 2-stars given the exchange hassle.
