Decent sizing die, seating die is junk
I bought these when I first ventured away from the .30 call world and into the 6.5mm world. The sizing die works great. Little to no lube is needed to full size a case when clean. Every mouth diameter has been 0.2635/2.6320 which I was very happy with; gives me 0.002 of neck tension. The seating die on the other hand is worthless in my opinion. Seating depths are very inconsistent. I have dialed for 2.810 with 140gr AMAXs and 140gr Nosler Bonded white tips for hunting this fall. The seating stem, I have tried both the one included and even bought one designed for the AMAX bullets, leaves a very noticeable ring around the top of the bullet. This goes for the AMAXs, Nosler, and the Hornady BTHPs. I thought maybe it might be my press, Dillon 550. But I have loaded close to 400 rounds of 308 with 175gr SMKs and Nosler CCs with my Forster micrometer seating die. All of them seat to within 0.001-0.0005" when measuring ogive or off a ballistic tip every time. The resistance from the seating die is very easy to feel in the roller handler I have on the 550. Just to make sure I wasn't crazy I tried the seating die in a single stage press, same thing happened. Loaded three rounds, 2.8095, 2.815, and 2.798 is what I got. I will return this and buy a Forster micro seating die and a neck sizing die instead. I really wanted to like this Hornady die set. I like the zip spindle decapping rod, very easy to adjust and change. But the seating die ruins it all for me.
