For once exactly as advertised
I've seen the videos on YouTube and the reviews but never thought it would be as easy to work with and actually work exactly as advertised. I had have a Dan Wesson with slim bushings and ruined the bushings by trying to get them off. Stripped them good and proper and this tool was easy and fast and I got the bushings out without even using heat. Great product. Now I'm going to buy another set for the standard bushing length as well.

Worth having in your tool box
Just finished removing the grip bushing from a basement find 1911 from 1961 - all rusted and nasty. The tool is much stronger metal than the bushing - so - the secret to success on a legendary rusted bushing is keeping this tool on the bushing and not allowing it to ride up and damage the slots. Vice or c-clamp is the ticket. It's a lifesaver.

Game Changer
This device definitely saved my butt! I flowed the instructions, added a little heat to the frame, and eased it out going counter clockwise/clockwise etc…, and the bushing came out perfectly.

Saved the day!
This tool saved the day for me. I needed to find a solution to remove a mangled slim 1911 grip bushing. After reading the clear instructions and watching a short video, I was able to remove the damaged bushing on the first attempt. Thank you Challis and Brownells!

Challis 1911 Grip Bushing Extractor
This is a great little tool at a great price. I have always had mixed success swapping out grip bushings. I just bought a Colt Delta Elite and wanted to change the grips. I was afraid I would damage the bushings and did some research about different tools that were available, especially from Brownell's, and chose this one. The removal of the bushings was effortless and quick with no damage. I highly recommend this tool. Hopefully, at some time they will make one for VZ Grips universal bushings too.

Secure Removal
A device worth having around if you remove/replace your pistol grips from time to time. Read directions on how to secure device to bushing and you will have no problem removing even very stubborn bushings as it is strong enough to handle the torque. Bought the standard size at first and then realized they don't work on slim bushings and then saw they had a separate unit for slim so bought them too. Would buy again. Don't take a chance on marring your pistol using standard tools, get one of these.
