AR15 BEV Block

This device provides a quick and simple method to securely hold AR15 uppers/ lowers. I used this vise block to remove, replace, and time the barrell nut on WC S.S. I was impressed with how well this device secures upper by holding barrell lugs and forward portion of bolt assy. Great product and perhaps under priced when you consider the untility.

It works

Mine didn't come with any pins. To properly support the lower when torquing the barrel you should disassemble the bolt carrier and insert the the outer part from the left side while supporting the right with the barrel lugs. It's a bit of a pain but worth it avoid damage.

First Time user

Honestly, bought the BEV Block because of the price and multi-use of the tool. If you have any doubts as to its ability to stand up to the torque of tightening the barrel put them aside. It worked great when applying full torque to the barrel nut. Turning it upside down in the vise allows it to securely hold the lower in the mag well. The only con I could mention is that even with the BCG inserted, and the pin in the takedown hole, it does allow the assembly to move around a bit, so if you're used to the old clamshell, realize that it won't be held solidly and un-moving. It does not pose a problem. Great tool.
