The ASAP QD (Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point QD) allows a wide range of motion, enabling true ambidextrous weapon manipulation for both left and right handed shooters. Replacing the standard AR15/M4 carbine stock receiver end plate, the ASAP QD provides a tactical advantage by minimizing sling snagging and facilitating easy transition to and from weapon and reaction side shoulders. The ASAP QD works with one-point type slings with push-button quick disconnect sling swivels such as the MS4 GEN 2.

Made from precision cast QPQ salt bath nitride finished steel and compatible with both Mil-Spec and Commercial-Spec carbine receiver extensions.

The ASAP QD is NOT compatible with A1/A2 fixed stocks as well as any other similarly mounted stocks such as the Magpul PRS®, PRS® Lite, UBR® GEN2, MOE® Rifle, and MOE® Fixed Carbine Stocks.
NOTE: When the Castle Nut is properly torqued, staking is not required. However, if staking is desired, it is strongly recommended that it be done by a certified armorer or competent gunsmith. The extremely hard surface of the ASAP QD increases the difficulty of staking and the likelihood of damage during the procedure.

Excellent QD Plate, 1 Minor Flaw

I will start by admitting that I am a Magpul Fanboy. If Magpul made a silverware set, I'd buy 3 of them. I really do like this QD End Plate, but it is slightly flawed (In My Opinion, more on that in a minute). Quick bit of info: I am building a custom lower and I am using a Spike's 6 position buffer tube, Magpul CTR Mil-Spec Stock, and the Magpul MS4 QD Sling. I added the Magpul ASAP-QD in place of my original Noveske QD Endplate. With the Noveske Plate (which is as minimalist as you can get) will allow the CTR stock to close on the 1st buffer tube position (stock totally collapsed). It pushes all the way against the push button QD, but it will close and lock into place (it closes and locks the QD against the stock, will not come loose *See Attached Picture, picked from Google not my Image*). The new Magpul ASAP-QD will NOT allow the CTR stock to collapse completely (position 1). It gets very close, but with the angle of the QD Socket has in addition to the added depth of the unit (for strength I assume?) the stock will not collapse totally. I emailed Magpul with this information, and I was informed this is a "Side Effect" of using the CTR with the ASAP-QD and nothing can really be done about it. A bit of an oversight by them in my opinion. Now, all that being said, it is not an issue for me. I do not shoot my gun with the stock totally collapsed. I think the ASAP-QD is a very nice addition to your gun. Just be aware of your stock choices, as it might not close entirely. The finish on the ASAP-QD is flawless, its super hard steel as another reviewer has noted (though I don't believe it was 2 star worthy). I would not hesitate to buy another, I would just go with a different stock next time. Hope this helped someone,
