Brittle material won't stake. Very heavy.
Usually a big fan of Magpul products, I was very disappointed by this part.
Magpul ASAP Endplate
Poor quality material. This end plate cracks under staking. I’ve broke two of them. Finally spent the extra to get an FCD endplate. I would recommend getting an endlpate that is made of proper materials. Wish I would have known this before I used them in several builds.
Needs more ergonomic refinement
The position of the QD mechanism and sling interferes with the grip. The sling gets in position that gets in the way of the web of the hand and the grip. It will be very difficult to establish a grip with a MOE or similar due to the angle of the grip. A K2 or similar works a lot better but still when the sling is under tension it presses downwards against the web of the hand. Also, when the sling tension relaxes it falls behind the grip and in a hurry its difficult to get out of the way. This needs to be located at the side. This experience was using an MS4 sling and both the MOE and K2 grips.
