CALDWELL AR-15 BRASS CATCHER Reviews & Ratings

Easy to mount brass catcher keeps empty cases off the ground and prevents hot brass from hitting anyone near you. An incorporated hook and loop strap wraps around the forearm of any AR-15, keeping the catcher securely against the weapon. A thick wire frame holds the catcher opening in the correct shape over the ejection port, preventing it from interfering with the rifle’s cycling. Zippered bottom allows you to empty the bag without removing it from your rifle. Catcher holds approximately 30 empty .223 cartridges.

PURCHASED 1. LIKED SO WELL i ORDERED 4 MORE. HOT BRASS DOES NOT MELT WEBBING LIKE SOME OTHER BRANDS DO.. EASY TO REMOVE FIRED BRASS NOT SURE WILL HOW IT WILL HOLD UP WITH LONG TERM USE. OVER ALL VERY PLEASED WITH PRODUCT.

GREAT PRODUCT!

I use this product on all of my AR 15 Rilfes. I bent the mouth a little wider than factory to avoid any jams. It catches the brass and works like its supposed to. I use it at home and we use it in my Unit for Blank fire.

Good for the money

Works good when you are shooting in tall grass and cant find brass. The wire is easy to bend to whatever shape works best. Do not shoot more than one mag without emptying it, or it will sag and block brass from ejecting. Strap it on tight. Obviously it won't work well for a 3 gun comp or anything, but great for just plinking at the range. Pros: cheap, and saves time looking for brass. Cons: causes ejection issues if it gets to full, it's not a strap it on and forget it accessory.

Practically Worthless

Do not buy, it is a waste of money, it does not stay in place and if you manage to hold it in place as the bag fills it sags and you get stove pipes. I have seen several people just throw them away.

Waste of time

This catcher is a waste of time. It doesn't hold its position on the AR very well at all. When shooting, it begins to slip and move around and eventually will not line up with the ejection port. The brass being ejected will either fall out and not be caught or in several cases got caught between the ejection port and the catcher getting in the way of the bolt and caused jams while the gun was trying to feed. Even when shooting slow and steady, the weight of the brass in the bag pulls the catcher away from the port and causes the brass to end up on the ground.
