Fit my 870 just right
Not hard to install at all. Spring was about 8-10 inches too long, but trial and error got it to the right length. The old 4+1 is now 6+1 and all feed properly. Wish I'd bought one a long time ago.
Will NOT hold 8 rounds
Only adds three rounds to the magazine tube, not four. I tried the included follower and the original smaller one. Still only adds three rounds. Otherwise it works just fine and is good quality. I put mine on a Remington 870. I cannot speak for other shotgun brands.
Orange Follower issue, but Great overall
It is in fact 10+1 if you use your original follower. I installed on an older 1100. No crimping necessary. But after install I could still only load 4 shells on a 10+1. I discovered the orange follower that comes with the kit has a circumference slightly too small for its own tube. It gets cock-eyed and stuck at the new tube transition and will go no further. So using the original follower from the gun, all worked well. The orange follower would have been a nice addition but it needs to be larger. If you try the orange and it does work, note I don't think you would fit 10+1 rather 9+1 as orange follower takes up more space. Still very happy with it.
Works Great
