You can't go wrong with a CMMG LPK
CMMG lower parts kits are always a safe choice for your lowers, I just wish they included extra detents and springs because I ALWAYS send a detent flying somewhere.
Bought to install into a Colt lower
I wasnt up to spending the money for a Colt LPK, so after doing some research, I decided on this. They had pretty good reviews online. I also bought the buffer tube assembly, also by CMMG. Shipping was quick. The only thing different from others, were that the pivot pins had indentations so something (like a bullet) could be used to help push them out. The ambidextrous safety was good and also easy to install. I normally bought Anderson LPKs before, which, to be honest, appear to be as good as this one. Everything fit fine and so far they function well. Not sure but the trigger and hammer springs feel cheaper. The separate color coded bag packaging was nice. Im giving a four star rating because of the feel of the quality of the springs, but I could be wrong.
Good kit for price and in stock
Its a good kit basic but good.
Works Great
Basic lower parts kit, works fine. A drop in trigger is a good upgrade, but not necessary.
Nice kit
It's a nice kit with all the parts separated in color coded plastic bags. One issue I ran into was with the safety selector detent spring. It's so strong that after the installation, it would require a wrench to turn the selector. I had to cut two coils off the spring to make it fit correctly.
Real Roll Pin, Please
Used the premium lower parts kit in an 80% build. Really liked the color-coded packages, as they not only positively identified each pin and spring, but helped keep parts in logical build order. Went together nicely UNTIL I noticed that the bolt catch pin was NOT a roll pin (that type of non-roll 'roll pins' have given me fits other times), so did not use it in the build. The extended/ambi bolt catch I used came with a REAL roll pin so that's what was used. I also had a Brownell's roll pin on hand as inexpensive "frustration insurance" but it wasn't needed this time.
Good kit - easy to use
As a first time builder I found this kit easy to use. The color coded groups were very helpful and the parts went together well. The only thing I would have liked to see added to the kit would be the tool for installing the pivot pin detent. I would recommend it to a friend.
