The kit includes Powder River Precision’s famous striker safety lever, to remove the long trigger pre-travel on the XD trigger. Also included is a reduced power trigger and sear springs, to lower the pull weight. The included new sear has a patented angle to help lighten the pull and give a smooth crisp break. The trigger is made of tough, light weight polymer that helps speed up the reset. It also has an integral over travel stop on the back of the trigger. Using this method of over travel stop removes added stress on the trigger bar. When installed correctly, the kit will give you a short crisp trigger pull (about 3.5-4lbs) with a fast reset and cut the total trigger pull length by about 1/2. The kit requires minor fitting and includes gunsmith installation instructions. Fits all XD models (EXCEPT the XD 45 thumb safety model OR new model XDs). This trigger is a Springfield Armory OEM part available on production XD and XDM pistols.

Well worth it

I'm no gunsmith but this is easy enough to install. Takes some patience to fit the pieces properly without taking off too much but it is well worth the time. The trigger pull is noticeably much lighter, the break is much more crisp, and pre travel and over travel are minimized greatly. I was going to adjust my rear sight because I tend to shoot left with all handguns but with this trigger I'm back in the bullseye with much tighter groups. Go slow with the fitting, I had to remove almost the entire raised ridge on the side of the sear, a very small amount from the back of the sear so the grip safety wouldn't stick, and some on the back of the trigger over travel stop.
