Not quite the same as stock
I bought this to go on my Gen4 G20. I like how much easier it is to access the release tab but there is an issue. It is not quite the same fitment as the stock part. Compared to the stock part, the tab that gets pushed up by the mag follower sits a little lower in the gun and closer to the bullet (see images). It appears this may be causing pre-mature slide lock with rounds still in the magazine, when using very high-power heavy loads. I already have a 22lb recoil spring installed and did verify the slide stop was installed correctly and my thumb is not hitting it during recoil. I've read elsewhere this may also be due to the mag follower on the Gen 3 and 4 mags but this difference in the tab position is not helping any. I still have to fully investigate the issue. I like the added accessibility enough that I'm planning to modify this part and the follower on my mags to see if that fixes the issue, but others may not want to tinker with it as much as I do. If you buy it for your Gen 4 G20, make sure you test extensively with your load of choice before trusting your life to it.

gunsmithing may be required
I have found on some installations contact between the left front of the inserted magazine body (when loaded) and the activating tab on the mag release. This issue can be aggravated by holding or pushing the magazine in as tight as possible. This issue has the potential of causing a malfunction of having "slide lock" occur before the magazine is empty. A small amount of metal removed from the tab is the recommended method to eliminate this problem.

Good and simple
I installed this slide release on my brand new glock 22 gen 4 and it was a easy installation, I compared the slide spring length to the original glock slide release spring and they were same length(I checked this becouse of bad reviews saying it was too short and caused the slide to always lock back, possibly a bad batch?), the spring almost seems more stiff that the stock one. It was a major improvement over the stock slide release, I can now operate the slide with ease. I do like the gloss black finish.
