AR-15 MEDIEVAL MUZZLE BRAKE 22 CALIBER

AR-15 MEDIEVAL MUZZLE BRAKE 22 CALIBER Reviews & Ratings

Muzzle attachments specifically designed to enhance your CQB effectiveness install on any AR-15 rifle or carbine with ½"-28 tpi muzzle threads. Aggressive, diamond-shaped teeth aid in effective less-lethal muzzle strikes during hand-to-hand combat, while wide strike face lessens danger of a penetrative wound on contact. Also serves as a stand-off device for body contact shots. Precision formed from 8620 steel, heat hardened to resist erosion by combustion gases, with a tough, parkerized finish that matches most black/dark gray rifle finishes. Muzzle Brake helps you stay on target by venting gases upward to counteract muzzle rise for fast follow-up shots; improves control and accuracy during full-auto fire. Accepts most over-the-barrel sound suppressors and actually increases their effectiveness.

Reviews Summary
The AR-15 Medieval Muzzle Brake offers ease of installation and effectively reduces muzzle rise and recoil for many users, particularly in 16-inch barrel setups. While some appreciate its quiet operation and value compared to pricier alternatives, others report visible flash and limited efficiency compared to competition brakes. Overall, it serves well for casual shooting but may not satisfy all performance expectations.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Ease of Installation
40%
Many reviewers appreciate that the muzzle brake is easy to install, often taking just a few minutes to set up without the need for extensive tools or modifications. This convenience factor is highlighted as a significant benefit for users wanting a straightforward upgrade.
Recoil and Muzzle Rise Reduction
60%
A common theme in the reviews is the effective reduction of muzzle rise and recoil experienced by users, particularly with 16-inch barrels. While not as efficient as competition-style brakes, it still provides adequate performance for casual shooting.
Noise and Concussion
50%
Reviewers mention that this muzzle brake operates relatively quietly compared to other options, minimizing blast and side concussion, which is appreciated particularly by those shooting at ranges where noise levels matter.
Flash Suppression
30%
Several users express disappointment regarding flash suppression, noting that the muzzle brake does not significantly reduce the visible flash when fired, especially in low-light conditions. This contrasts with the expectations of some customers, particularly those hoping for dual functionality.
Performance vs. Price
40%
The price point of the Medieval Muzzle Brake is often compared to more expensive alternatives, with several reviewers viewing it as a good value for the performance it offers. While many find it satisfactory, a few push for higher-performance designs at a higher price.
Weight of the Device
20%
Some users remark on the heavier weight of the muzzle brake compared to similar products, which may affect handling. This concern is raised alongside considerations of the brake's performance, suggesting a trade-off between weight and effective operation.

Great Overall Device
I installed this muzzle brake on the rifle I built a few years ago. It has worked really well and allows for accurate shot placement, which helping to mitigate muzzle rise.

A perfect compromise.
Medieval Brake is not going to reduce recoil like a competition brake or hide flashes like a dedicated flash hider but it does both adequately well on a 16 inch AR without annoying your neighbors with concussions at the range and that's why I like it and think it's a perfect compromising solution.

Works Great
Was saving for a Lantac and bought this on impulse while perusing a local gun shop. Removed the flash hider and installed this in +/- 5 min. Works great and got rid of all muzzle flip with a little bit more noise and concussion, but I don't mind it.

medievil break
Installed on Daniel defense v3 mid-length gas system works great, felt recoil and muzzle flip are almost gone. Also have primary weapons fsc556 on rock river, at twice the price and same result, save the money and get this break,my brother liked it so much he also ordered this break.

IT'S A MUZZLE BRAKE
This review is a reply to the person complaining about shooting at night - NO WHERE does it say it will help with flash. Its a MUZZLE brake and works well at that, if you want a flash suppressor, get the Medieval FLASH SUPPRESSOR model not the MUZZLE BRAKE model. Do people even read the description of things before they buy? Reminds of a decoy review for some resting decoys that someone complained there wasn't much movement in the full body resting decoys, of course not they are resting!!
