Works well rough finish

I smoothed the rod with a whetstone and emery paper before installing. I'm sure it would have smoothed out quickly through use but it felt pretty rough so I polished it regardless.

Not Bad...

Over the years I've tried a lot of these products out and to be honest the two piece threaded one piece rod are not really my favorite I'd rather have a solid piece of metal this is not threaded together to be honest I think they last a lot longer and they're better made and they're a little bit more sturdy but besides that this rod is a good rod or maybe it boils down to just preference.

Works great

Great Quality, smooth functioning when installed. only down side there were no install instructions, had to get instructions on utube

Good after minor alteration

It requred some grinding of the round backing in order for it not to get stuck in a position that caued binding. I put it on a 2011 Rock Island 1922 A!FS.

Good Rock Island1911 after alteration

I had to grind a little bit of material off of the round section of the back of the guid rod base. It was not letting the base site flush. I have a 2011 Rock Island full size 1911 A1FS GI.
