An ideal foundation for any custom 1911, each Brownells BRN-1911 Government Model frame arrives ready for the slide, barrel, sights, and fire-control components of your choice to be fitted. All holes are drilled in one setup, allowing for more accurate alignment throughout.

Very nice.

I bought this framed knowing that I was going to alter it. (Undercut and front strap checker) The bead blasted finish is gorgeous and very even. My Caspian slide fit onto the rails without any fitting needed. I have approx .004 fit between slide and frame. Jerry Kuhnhausens book states that .005 is needed for a reliable duty pistol so with that in mind I am happy. I give 4 out of 5 stars because I was looking forward to hand fitting the slide myslef. Oh well. There were zero and I mean none zilch 0 blemishes on the frame. The feed ramp has a bead blasted finsh and I will address that after I time the pistol. Thanks Brownells for your addicting 1911 build videos... I have my hand caught in the 1911 building cookie jar!
