The Brownells RMR Slide for Glock® 19 Gen3 pistols is the ideal upgrade for your factory G19 or the perfect "top half" for a brand-new custom gun built on a compatible frame from another manufacturer. This slide features a pre-cut slot for easy, secure, low-profile mounting of a Trijicon RMR or Holosun red dot sight. Up front, you'll find distinctive cocking serrations that aid in manipulating the slide to check the chamber or clear a jam. And let's admit it: the serrations just look cool, too! The RMR Slide also has standard Glock® factory front and rear sight dovetails for backup "iron" sights. Use suppressor-height iron sights for proper co-witness with the red dot.

You can get your RMR Slide for Glock® 19 Gen3 with the traditional solid top or with a "window" cutout between the front serrations that enhances air flow to cool the barrel - ideal for hard-working action competition pistols. If you have an upgraded barrel with a contrasting finish or a unique exterior pattern (fluting, spirals, flames, etc.) the window lets you show it off a bit! Or install our ported barrel for Glock 19, and combustion gas venting from the barrel ports through the window will counteract muzzle rise and help you keep the sights on the target for subsequent shots - no need to install a bulky compensator on the muzzle.

Each RMR Slide for Glock® starts life as a billet of 17-4 stainless steel that is machined to Glock® factory specifications inside, so it’ll accept factory or aftermarket barrels and internal parts. Each slide is heat-treated to Rc 41-44 on the Rockwell C scale for superior surface hardness and wear resistance. RMR slides are available with a wear-resistant basic black Nitride finish, or a thin, extremely tough, good-looking physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating in other colors.

Barrel compatibility issues

I had a tough time diagnosing why my pistol was having failure to feed or stovetop ejection issues (1 in ~30 shots). I even had a gun smith take a look at the pistol. He thought I just needed to break it in more. Turns out the issue was two incompatible parts... my faxon match barrel and this slide with the window. Due to the chamfered edges on the faxon barrel, it makes its way up into the slide window, which causes the barrel to not be pushed down far enough to properly feed the next round, or it stays too far forward to properly eject the shell casing. I probably blame the barrel design more than the slide design for this issue.... it was expensive, frustrating, and fun to troubleshoot.

RMR window G-19 slide

Mixed comments, Positives-- Slide fits & works good, rear sight slot machined correctly, fit to P-80 frame is good. Negatives-- Slide serrations slightly sharp to the feel with bare hands. Extractor bearing hole needed to be chased with a drill bit to remove tight spot, striker channel/ channel liner very tight so striker sticks/drags without fitment work. Big detractor-- There is a prominent (permanent) stain in the finish on the L/H side (see picture). This slide should have been sold as a second or sold as damaged. Definitely slipped through quality inspection. I would have returned it for a refund but the fit & operation is good so I didn't want to chance getting a slide that didn't fit as good. It did come with a striker channel liner already in it so it might have been a previous return. If not for that prominent stain in the finish & slightly sharp serrations it would be a pretty decent slide for the money.

Good, but not great

The slide quality was great. The only issue I had was the coating. When I received the slide the coating was kind of scratched up and had some rough edges. Overall the slide operated fine, but was kind of disappointed in the coating quality. I waited a long time for the BRONZE PVD slide to come back in stock, I bought it as soon as it became available again. Was just a little upset when the slide came in looking like this.

Great slide...rmr not so good

Used this slide for a first-time build of a polymer80 G19 and it works well. I did buy the Brownells RMR cover and screws for it since I am not ready to put an optic on the gun. The RMR cover fits OK but right hand screw will not fully seat using the shortest screw set sold by Brownells. Not sure what to do now since I have completed the slide and don't feel like taking it apart to return. Grrrr...

Don't sell a FDE slide....

PLEASE, please, please, don't sell a FDE slide without a matching cover plate and matching screws! IT is upsurd that Brownells would think a person would buy a FDE slide and not want matching cover plate and screws....maybe it is laziness. I will not be buying another until this changes.

Almost perfect.

I bought this slide in November 2017. Too good of a value to pass up with all the Black Friday discounts. Literally half price of any other build-it-yourself slides out there at the time, and with the features I wanted. When it arrived, I was pleased to see that Brownells had addressed some of the blocky criticisms by increasing the depth of the 45-degree chamfor on the top edge. The new top radius is more comparable to the Glock OEM profile (just angular), and matches other offerings out there by the big name Glock custom manufacturers. The one down-side: Brownells RMR cut is deeper/lower than anyone else. The top profile matches most everyones RMR angular cover plate out there, but everyones RMR cover plate sits too low, and none are flush with the slides top profile. So if youre not putting an RMR on it right away (which Im not), you get to choose between and odd-looking profile with a top plate sitting too low, or no plate at all and an open cut. Neither of these is very appealing, and has impacted my enjoyment of my new project. Brownells needs to immediately offer their own matching top plate for (or included with) the slide ($30-40 value), include (even a plastic) spacer so itll work with anyone elses top cover, or change the depth of their cut bringing it in line with everyone else (and replace my slide if you do!). If this happens, this becomes a five-star product rivaling anyone elses slide out there.
