The Brownells RMR Slide for Glock® 19 Gen3 pistols is the ideal upgrade for your factory G19 or the perfect "top half" for a brand-new custom gun built on a compatible frame from another manufacturer. This slide features a pre-cut slot for easy, secure, low-profile mounting of a Trijicon RMR or Holosun red dot sight. Up front, you'll find distinctive cocking serrations that aid in manipulating the slide to check the chamber or clear a jam. And let's admit it: the serrations just look cool, too! The RMR Slide also has standard Glock® factory front and rear sight dovetails for backup "iron" sights. Use suppressor-height iron sights for proper co-witness with the red dot.

You can get your RMR Slide for Glock® 19 Gen3 with the traditional solid top or with a "window" cutout between the front serrations that enhances air flow to cool the barrel - ideal for hard-working action competition pistols. If you have an upgraded barrel with a contrasting finish or a unique exterior pattern (fluting, spirals, flames, etc.) the window lets you show it off a bit! Or install our ported barrel for Glock 19, and combustion gas venting from the barrel ports through the window will counteract muzzle rise and help you keep the sights on the target for subsequent shots - no need to install a bulky compensator on the muzzle.

Each RMR Slide for Glock® starts life as a billet of 17-4 stainless steel that is machined to Glock® factory specifications inside, so it’ll accept factory or aftermarket barrels and internal parts. Each slide is heat-treated to Rc 41-44 on the Rockwell C scale for superior surface hardness and wear resistance. RMR slides are available with a wear-resistant basic black Nitride finish, or a thin, extremely tough, good-looking physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating in other colors.

Doesn't fit RMR

This slide does not fit the RMR I have from Trijicon. The milling is off by millimeters and it won't take the RMR.

Not a Gen 3

I purchased this as described as a Gen 3 slide, and a Brownells Gen 3 Glock 19 parts kit. The firing pin doesn't fit. A Gen 3 Glock has a rectangular firing pin; this slide has a small pin hole sized cut that the firing pin will not fit through.

Firing pin hole not machined properly, firing pin from OEM slide did not fit in hole.

I bought the slide #078000623 and the kit #078000623. I followed the Brownells instruction video on how to install the kit into the slide. When I got to installing the firing pin into the channel, the tip of the pin would not go through the hole. I tried many times with the new kit and tried again with my OEM firing pin from my OEM Glock slide, but both did not work. I tried the new firing pin on my OEM Glock slide and it fit perfectly. Conclusion, the slide I bought from Brownells was poorly machined and does not allow the pin through the hole, the slide without a working firing pin is a useless chunk of metal, and my Glock is rendered useless with a poorly manufactured slide. I requested a replacement, and would need to replace the firing pin channel, as it is currently stuck in the slide. I will update once I hear back from customer service, but until this issue is fixed and I get sent a functional slide, I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND BROWNELLS SLIDE.

Crap thread size and screws

This slide does not use standard 6/32 screws which is pretty universal for rmr style dots and mounts. If you’re going to use an adapter plate those 2 support studs will be too high and have to get shaved down. Screw head snapped off. I drilled and tapped for normal use 6/32 screws

Trijicon RMR didnt fit

The RMR didnt fit nor did the seal plate. I also bought the gen 4 slide and it didnt fit that one either. I assume something out of whack with the milling? It fits my other slides so I sent it back.

Blemished

The slide arrived with tooling marks and deep scratches on both sides. Some of the scratches went through the PVD coating into bare metal. I don't mind wear marks on my guns, but I'd like them to be from me, not scratched up right out of the box. I think that's most people. Who wants a blemished slide for full price?!

Finishing Issues

Ordered this slide for a Polymer 80 Glock 19 build. Packaging for item was nothing special a bag with a little foam pad wrapped around. The slide itself has good weight and seems nicely machined, but upon further inspection I was left disappointed. The slide had a few issues with it starting with the uneven nitride spotting or chips. Slide also had some internal wear near muzzle slightly odd since its brand new. The slide had a chip on the rear corner of the slide. Finally the deal killer for me was that my particular slide had a sizeable burr on the rear serration. A burr on a piece of the slide I will frequently touch with my hands is completely unacceptable. Ive read and heard Brownells makes nice gun parts, but this slide leaves much to be desired. I have a Brownells/ Victory First Glock 19 Barrel on backorder that I am considering canceling due to my experience with this item. I have contacted Brownells and I will see what they suggest. Overall nice slide, but my example has some issues that I cant live with considering the $200 price tag.

Garbage Finish

Dont even know where to start! Ive built around 15 ARs but was getting bored with it and decided to tackle my first pistol build. Decided on the Polymer80 Glock 19, did quite a bit of research on parts. The Brownells slide seemed like the best combo of affordability and options so I ordered it. When it got here and I opened the plastic bag the first thing I see is surface rust in the extractor area ( cleaned up pretty easy, the second was the discoloration on the slide..not so easy! Tried the old AR trick of rubbing oil into the finish, that did not change a thing! Cant believe the place that manufactured this part would even let it leave their facility. Ive bought a lot of Brownells branded AR parts ( Barrels, Bolt carriers etc.) and they all looked great. This, not so much! The only way I can see fixing the finish would be to get it Cerakoted which will add to price and completion time!

I won't not recommend

This product only fits a Trijicon RMR sight so if you want to fill the ugly blank on the back you have to buy a site that's four times the price of this Slide so you do the math also very hard to get the channel liner in have to force it almost breaking it
