NOTE: The Remington will NOT work on the Remington 870 Super Mag.

Magpul stock for Remington 870

Using this on a Norinco clone of the 870 and having difficulty attaching the stock. Fit is perfect but supplied screw is a little too short

Also does not fit the Remington 870 Express

Have an old police trade-in and the frame is marked 870 Express. The buttstock fits great, but the forearm is not wide enough to function the action. The frame is wider than standard. I confirmed this with Mag Pul and they told me that the forearm would not work with the Police Magnums.

Pretty good, but 1 small problem

I really like Magpul products, and have a plethora of them. I've been wanting to get this set for my 870 for years, and was finally able to. First off, I really like the look and feel of the stock and forend. The forend change was really easy, especially with the tool Magpul included in the package. Next came the stock, and the installation went okay. The bolt that came with the 870 was a massive PITA to get out, but the SGA stock went in easily. For the length of pull, I added 3 of the polymer pieces, and this is where my only complaint takes place. No matter how many LoP adjusters I put in, the screw would not go in. I looked through the hole and saw that the LoP adjuster was slightly too large and was not allowing enough room for the screw to go in, and this happened no matter how many LoP adjusters I put in. Eventually I tapped the screw with a hammer a couple of times to get it in, but it should have gone in without that. Other than this, I really like the product.
