DXT2 BIG DOT FOR GLOCK® 43/42

DXT2 BIG DOT FOR GLOCK® 43/42 Reviews & Ratings

Having the right sights on your small, compact handgun can make the difference in a fight, and the XS Sights DXT2 Big Dot night sights are built right to encourage the front-sight focus needed to get fast, accurate rounds on target when it counts, even in low-light or nighttime conditions. Each pair of XS Sights DXT2 Big Dot night sights are built with a tritium-illuminated, round front sight that allow for fast targeting in the dark, while a photoluminescent ring around the tritium lamp also allows for easy aiming when moving from bright to dark environments. The front sight is combined with the company's rear-sight design that incorporates a vertical, tritium-illuminated stripe. When it comes to aiming, getting your gun on target is fast and instinctive: just dot the i! The XS Sights DXT2 Big Dot night sights are constructed with a shallow rear notch for a greater field of view, and the sight is designed for rapid aiming at targets inside of 15 yards. This particular pair of DXT sights are sized right for the Glock®G42 and G43. The sights fit all common holsters and may require filing to fit into the dovetail.

Not Good, Not Great, Just Ok
As someone who has used Trijicon sights for my Glocks over the years, I wanted to give these sights a try, in hopes of finding them to be faster when engaging a target. Although in my opinion they are much faster with sight acquisition versus standard 3 dot style sights, they fall short in some areas. First off the price is currently at the top tier of handgun sights, for what youre getting is pretty good quality, and a design that works. However, the orange Big Dot easily gets washed out in sunlight, and this is coming from someone with 20/10 vision. In the dark these sights work better in my opinion, as the tritium glows well enough for you to use the sights in little to no light. My biggest complaint is the install process. XS Sights, does not recommend the use of a sight pusher tool, but wants you to just slide the rear sight into place, use set screws and Loctite as a method of ensuring the sights wont move. Trijicon uses very tight tolerances, which requires you to use a punch, or a sight pusher tool, which is a better method of installation, rather than relying on thread locker and set screws. All in all these sights work for what I believe they were made for, just realize they arent perfect, even at their price point.
