The Powder River Precision XD/XDM Drop In Trigger Kit contains their famous striker safety lever, which removes the long trigger pre-travel on XD triggers. The kit includes reduced power; trigger spring, sear spring, striker safety spring, and striker spring. These reduced power springs allow for a lowered pull weight. The PRP Drop in Trigger is constructed of lightweight polymer that assists in speeding up trigger reset. It also has an integral over travel stop on the back of the trigger. This integral stop removes added stress on the trigger bar that is present with other over travel stop methods. When installed, this kit provides a short, crisp trigger pull (3.5-4.5lbs) with a fast reset and shortened overall trigger pull length. Available for all XD/XDM except for the 45 XD with thumb safety. The XDM model has received the American Pistolsmith Guild Seal of Approval.

SPECS: Polymer trigger. Reduced power trigger, striker and strike springs. 3.5-4.5lbs pull weight. NOTE: The XD Sub Compact (100-009-750) is for 9mm/.40 only. Does NOT fit XDS. Use 100-009-749 for all the XD .45 models EXCEPT the .45 cal thumb safety model.

Amazing trigger kit

I just installed this trigger kit on my Springfield xdm 40. I followed the videos on you tube, which allowed me to install it without having any gunsmithing experience. The results on the trigger pull and the trigger travel are AMAZING. I used to like my Springfield xdm, but now I love it. What a transformation.

Great, transformational product!

Love this upgrade. Im casual shooter and bought this upgrade to improve trigger pull. What a change in the XDM 9mm! Im not a gunsmith but can tackle nearly anything with good instructions. Watched the video twice before I did the install. Flawless. Used the competition trigger and striker spring. Highly recommended. Functions 100% as advertised.

Not So Easy But Doable

This is my first DIY trigger job, I have watched the gun shop work trigger jobs on my glocks so I decided to go for it. Bought this Kit for my XDM 10mm based on user reviews. I watched the PRP video several times and felt comfortable enough to take on the challenge of do it yourself. The video at times isnt clear enough for some of the smaller springs and lever details but I managed to get it done without any help. The most challenging install segment are the trigger bar placement which I had to redo a second time, however I lucked out and got it right without breaking associated parts or losing springs. Wish prp made a kit for my XD 40 Mod2 now that I know how to take apart and put back together a Springfield XD. None of the pros and con selections apply to this product, however Im pleased with the results.

This trigger turned my XD40 into a completely new firearm. No more long travel, no more spongey trigger break, and it lightened the pull weight significantly (but not too much). The install was a little tricky, so be patient. 123powderriver on YouTube has a few good instructional videos on how to install. It takes about an hour, and if you are familiar with assembling and dissassembling firearms, then it should be no problem for you.

Excellent produc

Very easy to install. First time to do a trigger job. Could not shoot well with the gun, determined it was trigger travel and pull weight. Solved both issues with this kit. Fit well enough that no extra fitment was needed. Security director for a church and would not carry this gun because of trigger issues, now very comfortable with it.

Stunning difference

I know, I know. You are going to question this purchase. Let me put your mind at ease. Its odd to put in if you have not done one before. Watch the youtube vid a dozen times and get the punch kit. Use bright lighting and give yourself a half hour to an hour. I fumbled through it and the difference is stunningly good. ONE NOTE-The striker safety spring in the slide is super light and can EASILY me damaged or mis-shapen if it does not go in perfect. I toasted mine, and decided to order the replacement and titanium striker safety along with it. Collectively it is more than awesome. Just make certain it is in there perfectly before you squish it in place. BTW-PRP sent a replacement spring to me no questions asked, I just figured I would do that part too because I could...

First impressions and more..are in..!

First off install is a bit of a pain but admittedly this was my first total take down of my XD 45. Once installed, my first take was the travel on the trigger was still a bit much (some call this squishiness) but once in use that all melts away. The trigger is crisp, resets perfectly and over travel is minimal. All the safety (trigger and palm) mechanisms work as intended. Always remember that trigger kits make big changes that muscle memory doesn't "remember" so keep fingers off trigger till weopon is in a safe area! In practice, firing this kit changes the trigger pull force perfectly. When rapid firing while on the move the muscle memory is reset immediately as it now feels more natural with zero brain power necessary to pull, fire, reset repeat... Nice changes and btw I did not use the blue springs (Match grade) as I'm not quite there yet!
