Design and Functionality

The design parameters of the magazine release were generally praised, with comments around its simplistic nature reflecting Glock's reliable design ethos. However, the teardrop shape was sometimes criticized, as some found it less secure and adequate for different hand sizes.
Can't beat SIMPLE
Designed like a GLOCK: SIMPLE RELIABLE EFFECTIVE No special tools to install or remove !!! Why would you even pay more that need screws to attach the paddle?
Works
I used the product at a recent GSSF shoot and this helped with reloads. Works as advertised, easy to install and sits in a well positioned location.
NOT recommended for your carry/duty gun
Works as advertised. Speeds mag changes over a stock (non Gen 4) release. HOWEVER -- NOT recommended for your carry or duty gun. Protrudes too far for carry, can cause accidental mag release and potential to snag on clothing and some holsters.
small hands
this tear drop mag release works very well in my Glock 23 I have very small frame hands and I don't have to turn the handgun at all to release the magazine.the only thing i would change is that the tear drop have a secure screw in it it just clicks in and it feels a little flimsy.
Not bad..
Not bad, the pat might be a "tad" to big, if you are using a soft in the pants holster it can drop the mag from it pushing on you. My other clock with a factory glock mag extender, dose not have this issue. in a holster, it should not be any issue.
Doesn't fit in G17 Gen 3
Had to remove material to get the plate to move into gun. The Gen 3 plastic part of the release fit fine, but the butt on the plate was too fat.
Not a good fit for me.
Could not release my G32 mag without shifting grip position and thought this oversized design might do the job. But my thumb still could not operate the release without me adjusting my grip. Worse, during the first range visit with the Ghost release installed I had 8 FTF in the first 100 rounds. And yes you can easily accidentally release the mag while trying to manage the G32 recoil, in my case causing the still loaded mag to bounce out into the shooting lanes.
Stuck out too far
I bought this magazine release for my polymer 80 build unfortunately it sticks out a 1/4 inch off the frame just enough to keep it from seating in my holster. Not only that but unless you glue the teardrop button in it can easily fall out, its as easy as pulling two Legos apart.
Not a good fit.
Would not fit in Glock 21 frame. had to remove material from release to fit.
