Great tool
High quality, well made, and rugged. I was able to break loose an extremely stubborn 20 ga forend ring with no damage. It works equally well with the 12 ga Model 97/12.
excellent tool
this tool is designed well and is very sturdy. 12 gauge on one end and 20 gauge on the other. removes the locking nut on the hand guard with ease. if you work with or do repairs on M12 winchesters, you will eventually need this tool.

Nice tool. Simple, sturdy
This tool isn't fancy, but it is very well made and effective. I've used it on both 12 and 16 gauge Model 12s. You can apply a lot of force (sometimes needed with older guns) with this tool, but it fits in the forearm slots perfectly, and mine hasn't slipped yet.

I have had to return two of these wrenches due to the tips breaking in normal use. Essential for removing the forend on a Winchester model 12. Brownell’s stands behind their products, but quality control on this item needs attention.
