Gun stock
Thank you. I had a hard time finding a replacement stock for my grandpa's gun. It was easy to order and arrived fast.
Great stock set
I was pleasantly surprised how little fitting was necessary to get a great fit to my 94Winchester. Almost all the work involved fitting the old steel buttplate. I'm very satisfied with the product
Pre 64 model 94 Winchester stock set
I purchased one of these sets from another supplier for a much higher price. It was for one of two restorations I am working on. It is not a project for impatient people. It requires a good bit of fitting and attention to detail. That being said, with some patience and thinking before acting, it will come out as good, or better than the factory furniture. I removed the old furniture and started setting the individual pieces in place for test fitting. I used a fine scribe to mark the edges of the metal. After removing the marked wood, I used an orbital sander with 80 grit paper to remove the major portion of the excess on the forearm. I then used the same orbital sander with 100 grit until the lines were barely visible and finally 150 grit until the stock was smooth. I used fine metal files to trim the projections for the receiver recesses. After a number of fittings, the forearm had a better fit and appearance than the original. I did the same procedure for the stock. The only difference was that I placed the buttplate in position and screwed it in prior to marking the stock. I hand sanded the pieces with 220 grit after the last test fit The best advice I can give is be patient, take your time and think before you act. I will be purchasing my second one from Brownells.
Replacement wood stock & forearm Pre-64 Win. M94
Received new replacement stock set in good condition.
The butt stock has a synthetic butt plate installed which is a plus. Inletting appears to be 95%+, thus requires minor fitting (have not had time to install). Still needs finish of customers choice. Good source solution for an old favorite gun requiring a replacement stock. Recommend this product.

Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Good product
Stocks were delivered in a bubble lined envelope, stocks wrapped in bubble wrap. The butt stock had two chips at the butt plate end and the top tang area where it joins the receiver was broken on one side from crushing. The envelope also had a hole in it, I also ordered two butt plate screws and only one was in the envelope (shipped one to the small plastic envelope). Other than that the product is good. Tang fit is close but slightly undersized, just like you want. Requires overall sanding. Be aware the tang is not drilled for the mounting bolt. If you are patient, fairly good with your hands and don't mind repairing shipping damage you can end up with a nice set of stocks.
winchester 94 stock
The but stock is great, very small amount of fitment needed.
The hand gaurd was a disappointment, the front is very thin at the top edge. I lightly touched it and corner broke off.
check carefully when you receive and send back it damaged.
Plan on sanding
Great looking stock. My complaint is there is an extra 1/8 " of material on the thickness of the stock, it just doesn't match the butt plate. The bottom line question is would you recommend it to a friend, I did answer yes, but I would let know what their in for.
Stock didn’t fit
I purchased this item to replace a cracked stock on a rifle manufactured in 1952. Unfortunately the original buttplate was longer than the stock. The portion that fits around the tang is too wide and would leave large gaps on either side.
