L.E. Wilson crimp reamer
I purchased a L.E. Wilson case trimmer around 10 years ago. Shortly after I purchased their small and large primer pocket reamers for military brass reloads. The L.E. Wilson reamers do a great job of removing crimps on brass cases. Only problem I run into is I develop a blister from doing 100-200 cases in one session. To eliminate that I wrap my thumb and index finger with a couple of band aides. I've tried using a Hornady reamer on my Lyman case prep center but the results are frequently an uneven ream around the entire primer pocket. Wilson reamers never do that. Their reamers are another example of an excellent product from L.E. Wilson. Highly recommend.
Not disappointed. Works great
Purchased this to remove military crimp while already owning a Wilson trimmer. I liked the stability and precision of this setup but was expecting the process to be somewhat on the slow side. I found a little tap on the table to seat the brass in the holder, holding by hand while it reams, and a tap to release went surprisingly smooth. Loaded about 70 rounds and all the primers seated perfectly.
High quality American made tool
I purchased this item since I already had the L.E. Wilson case reamer setup w/micrometer and figured this would be an easy way to get another use with the same base toolset. I run the primer crimp reamer with the case reamer setup in a vice so I don't have to tie up space on a bench. It's also an easy way to collect small brass shavings from your workspace - I don't want those shaving floating around where I clean my firearms. The reamed brass goes into a bucket beneath the vice and it looks like the tool was meant to be mounted into a vise - it locks up solid in mine. The first time I only ran about 5-6 cases through it, I thought the primer pockets looked way too big and wanted to make sure I didn't destroy the brass. It does remove the swage and create an angled bevel, but the primer seats normally. Based on how well the tool worked, and that I can re-use something I already have - I back-ordered the tool for 7.62 use as well.

Used to remove crimps on Federal 5.56 brass. Swap out the cutter on the Wilson/Sinclair case trimmers and ream out those bothersome primer crimps. Bevels the primer pocket which I thought was a bit much at first look. It appeared that the primers were set too deep. I tested a bunch of them loaded with primer only and all worked fine. I think the bevel just makes the primer look too deep. The upside of the bevel is that it makes priming on a progressive press smooth as silk. The only downside is that the handle of the reamer is just a knurled knob. Your fingers get kind of cramped after a bunch of cases. I would think that a handle similar to the cutter would make this tool a joy to use. Overall very satisfied and will get the large one for .308/.30-06.
