As advertised
As stated in the description, this adapter fits the 12-28 male threads on the Dewey cleaning rods. I just started using these on a 30BR barrel and really like it. If you put two pellets on the tip, they expand enough to give good contact to the bottom of the barrel grooves. Pellets used this way come out of the muzzle striped from cleaning to the bottom of the grooves. I'm going to use the 6mm version on my 6PPC as well.
Get one or two extra.
The 224 diameter version of these tend to bend pretty easily and the ones I purchased this time are replacements. The pellets combined with the JB paste/kroil mixture works wonders on setting up or rejuvinating a barrel.
Works fine
Make sure you get the adapter for your cleaning rod. TIP:Get a 1 inch 8/32 screw and cut off the head and use a 5mm by .07 die and rethread one end to fit the VFG adapter. Cost me only [$].
Adapter?
As near as I can tell, the thread pattern is 5.5 mmX28TPI. You need an adapter for the adapter that must come from Mars.
Wrong thread for most cleaning rods!
Don't order this jag if our cleaning rod has the typical female end threads, because there is not way to attach it. Instead order the jag: 929-100-607. This jag has the correct male thread end to connect with most cleaning rods.
