Excellent tool to ensure your scope and rifle are in perfect vertical alignment
This tool is the smartest investment I've ever made to aid me in mounting scopes onto my rifles. First hang a plumb line on a far wall and adjust your scope to its lowest power and closest or most appropriate parallax setting. Then place the tool with the lower V on top of the barrel and against the front of the scope's objective bell, and the upper V on top of the scope's objective bell and tighten the thumbscrew. Rotate the rifle in it's holder until the bubble is centered in the attached level. The bore of your rifle and the bore of your scope are now perfectly centered with each other along the vertical plane. Then, looking through the scope, rotate it being careful not to disturb the position of the rifle until the vertical crosshair is in alignment with the plumb line. Tighten the rings down and you now have a perfectly level and aligned scope.

Yes, I would recommend to a friend
This tool works great
I was a little apprehensive about this, but after using it it works very well. The bubble in the level is actually real close the black lines as it's supposed to. I would recommend this
Vertical Reticle Instrument
Simple common sense tool that levels scopes quick & easy. I used the EXD tool with a 4 cell Mag light to project reticle image on felt tip pen drawn plumb line, Leveled 5 scopes in less than 1 hour.
Reticle alinement
Easy to use very accurate
The best tool to do it right.
The most important thing to look for when installing a scope on a rifle is that the scope is vertically centered with the barrel. This tool makes it truly possible, even if your rifle's rail or receiver screw holes and even rings are offset or canted to 1 side. Another important thing to look for is to have your crosshairs plumb with your scope and barrel, specially with mildot or BDC scopes used for holding over when aiming at long distances. And last, none of the above will work if you don't hold your rifle straight when shooting. Therefore it is a must that you also have the following items: - a scope bubble level ring - a plumb bob with a bright colored string - a good rifle vise The only thing about this tool that I would like to see improved is that it doesn't hold securely to the scope or barrel. It is easy to drop if you are not very careful when mounting it. Otherwise it is simply fantastic.
Excellent product
Incredibly simple product that works very well
Great tool that really works
This tool is the best thing I have found to square up a scope reticle with a rifle bore. I had been using the flat bottom of the scope turret as a reference to level with the scope bases. With this tool, I discovered that the reticle was not square with the bottom of the turrets on some scopes. Surprisingly, the worst offender turned out to be a premium scope maker that starts with L. Anyway, all of my scope reticles are now squared with rifle bores. This tool is easy to use and works great.
EXD Vertical Reticle; works well
When used in conjunction with a plumb bob, it makes it relatively easy to align your reticle axis with the vertical axis between your bore and scope. Highly recommended.
Well worth the money!
This tool works like a champ. If getting your scope mounted correctly the first time is important to you, then you need this VRI.
Best tool for the job
This tool changes weather a scope is level or not from an opinion to a fact. It's the best tool out there for leveling a scope. On some high power scopes the narrow window can be an issue but it still works.
