Creates perfect lower 1/3 positioning.
I purchased a T/CR22 which has no sights but does have a 11 slot picatinny rail above the chamber much like a basic AR does. I have had two neck surgeries and canting my neck to get down onto the rail is uncomfortable. I chose the Vortex Venom red dot as my sight and love it. I am also 65 years young and use red dot sights as I can pick up my target instantly. When I saw the lower 1/3 mount I purchased it and mounted it right up. The base is solid and has no movement when locked in place. My only gripe is its weight but when mounted at center rifle that weight disappeared. I am very pleased with my purchase...huuahh !
