Great!
Awesome product, anyone who doesn't have experience with one of these should look up how to put it on, because I almost had it on backwards.

Viking Slings are Great
I own several Viking Slings and do not hesitate to give them my highest rating. They're easy to install, they're comfortable, and their quality is second to none.

Great sling.
I have the padded and unpadded versions. Depends upon the weight of the firearm and how long you plan to carry it. For example, I use the padded version on my SIG 556 (8# with no mag) and the unpadded version on my Fulton Armory M3 Carbine (5# with no mag). Plan on trimming the sling - it has extra length to fit all sizes plus how heavily dressed you are. There is a video on Viking Tactics website with details on how to easily trim the sling and seal the edge to prevent fraying. The attachments are 1. I use the HK type hooks.

Bought one for each rifle
The main feature I like about this is that it has a unique way to quickly adjust the length of the sling. You can easily adjust it to be tight to your body, and then suddenly without much effort be able to loosen it enough to aim. While out hunting, you can adjust the length of the sling easily while keeping the rifle in a very comfortable position. With my old sling, I had to either sling it diagonally across my opposite shoulder, or sling it on my right shoulder. Over my shoulder I would have to constantly adjust the sling because it's slipping while walking. With the VTAC, I can walk around all day and not worry about my rifle slipping, and can easily use both hands. Also, it doesn't make noises. For example, with the typical sling, you can easily hit branches, rub against leaves, etc making a lot of sound. WIth the VTAC, you can silently and effortlessly adjust it to take aim naturally since the rifle will be around your chest. It takes a little time to learn how to use this sling. When I first got it, I naturally - at least for me - wanted to put the adjustment straps on the butt of the rifle. The reality is you need to put the adjustment area to the front of the rifle, and keep the rifle from your shooting shoulder, and the sling under your offhand. This will allow the rifle to constantly be pointed downwards, and you can easily shoulder/adjust. At first, I accidentally bought the upgraded version of this sling without knowing much about it other than watching some videos online about it and liking it. After using the sling for a while, I decided I wanted one for every rifle. I bought the normal version of the sling and realized my error then. I had to return it and buy the upgraded sling. My recommendation to everyone is to buy the upgraded version. Not only does it have better buckles and padding (which is important for heavier rifles), but it has a better adjustment/release system. Now I'm not sure about soldiers/hunters out there, but if I had to make one negative point it would be the lack of a quick release. This is rather important especially if your caught on the field or need first aid. If you happen to be in that sort of situation, you'd have to cut the sling.

Awesome product
I own 3 AR platformed rifles that I use for duty purposes. Single point slings slings, to me, just don't cut it for duty use. The VTAC sling is easy to use and quickly adapts to the situations at hand. Adjusts easily, installs easily, quality construction, takes the abuses of being tossed in and out of a patrol vehicle.

Bought two one for the AR one for the mini. Works great, awesome quality parts. Easily adjusts and tightens down for more accurate shots in different shooting positions.
