Not a fan

Followed the directions to a T. It is very difficult for me to use. I’ve watched many videos, and looked at the written instructions and I’m sure there’s a trick to it. I just don’t know it.

Good concept but tough to use.

I bought one of these and I'm finding it difficult to use. I've thought of using some kind of lube but I don't want it on my ammo. Frankly I don't know how well it works for 9mm but it requires considerable force to get anything in a G22 or 23 40 mag. Best I can do is 3 rounds at a time. And you can absolutely forget getting the last round in the mag. As much force that is required can't be any good for the ammo or the mag. Round nose ball might be better. Flat nose ball is bad enough but hollow points require even more force and I think I see distortion in the jacket after crunching hollow points in the mag through this loader. I can't be that weak and the 15th round in a 22 mag I don't care how much I fool with it, will not go in. That last round notoriously hard to get in with a Glock supplied loader cause the rounds don't compress enough. I don't know folks!!!

Universal?

Though it seemed to load an ETS magazine (for Glock) with some difficulty, it refused to load into a CZ mag. Didn't bother to try it with anything else.

Works sometimes. Inconsistent & finicky

Do you want to spend your time oiling a loader or loading mags? After trying it with 8 different mags in both 9mm And 40, I found its can be picky about mags and how strong their springs are. Definitely works better with worn mag springs and anti friction mags. Also found you have to continually oil the load chute and cam area after 2 mags. You feel a substantial increase in required pressure telling you when you have to re-oil. . My first ETS would not run and cases where binding just trying to pick up the rounds from the ammo tray. ETS swapped it out, but I had to pay shipping! New one works better and they did check it before sending. But not with the ease of the one shown in the video at their website. They may require a high number of rounds to break in (not yet at around 1000) and according to what they told me, they see a high number of folks damaging them from not continually oiling them. Point for service, point off for leaving out oiling requirements or production variation issues. Great idea, probably not ready for prime time. But it is impressive when you get it to run freshly oiled on a worn mag and 10 round zip right in.
