REVERSE Offset for Digital
Not just for offsetting forward, but offsetting back. On digital scopes (Low Light, IR, and Thermal) you don't 'see' through the scope; you actually look at a screen like a tiny monitor. On this scope, to see the full field your eye has to push the bellows to " to " from lens. Not for heavy recoil! Normal rings won't allow the digital scope that far back. Reverse this Aero Precision cantilever to put a thermal scope on a 10/22 in the perfect place. Handling's also better because the center of gravity thermal scopes are heavy shifts back also. Very happy and highly recommend it for this use.

Beutiful smooth lines
Very well made mount. Love the smooth lines of this mount with no nuts hanging in the wind. I dropped the included T-15 Torx driver into my A2 but-stock storage compartment. As you can see in photo my setup needs some forward extension of rings. Which this mount provides easily. Prone position is where your face is forced closest to the scope. Standing is farthest back. 1x4 X scope in photo has a 3 inch eye relief. Stock is an A2 fixed which is longer than an M4 collapsible. Rifle is setup for NRA/CMP high power match. Shoot from prone, sitting or kneeling and standing. So your scope must be usable in all positions.

Needs torque specifications
This went on without any issues, I purchased a torque screwdriver as to follow recommendations. I have seen 15 in Lbs on some websites but after installing and torquing to 15 in lbs I felt these were not going to hold, I contacted aero through a chat button on their website. I asked about different torque specifications on rail screws vs ring screws and torque values dry or lubricated with lock tight or no lock tight, all I really got for an answer was 15 in.Lbs and I could use lock tight if I wanted. This is frustrating because l dont want this to break or move. Without aero being more specific people are left to decide on our own. I do plan on using medium locktight and will probably end up going over 15, I would give these 5 stars if they provided better specifications. I will recommend these for now, that may change if I end up with issues.

Good for fun, not for duty.
I like to torque my scopes, even if it's a lower end scope on a fun gun. I heard okay things about this mount, and bought one. No instructions on the box, or in the box. So I go with the 15/25 Torque specs. (15 on the scope, 25 on the mount.) Two of the screws started to strip, one on the base, one on a ring. I do not feel confident in this mount. But it was certainly light! I do also like the long mounting claw, that evenly distrbutes the force of the mount, attaching to the rifle.
