ULTRA™ MICROMETER SEATER DIES
The Forster Products Bench Rest Ultra Micrometer Seater Die was easy to set up and it performs with good results, runout of 0.002 or less loading Hornady 200 grn ELD-X bullets for my 300RUM. Brownells had the best price I found and shipping was quick.

It's about time I got this
I always used standard seating dies. I always have erratic c.o.a.l.This seating die uses the ogive of the bullet for seating.now I need a micrometer to read the ogive. But it's all good. I need consistency and I'm not finding consistency in and bullets, Match or hunting bullets. 🤷♂️
Another winner
This is the 4th one of these I own and I have tried 2 different brands of micrometer seaters. In my opinion the Forster is the easiest to accurately set your seating depth due to the wide spacing of the micrometer makings.
6mm ARC Foster Ultra Micrometer Seating Die
This is my 4th Foster Ultra Micrometer Seating Die. I have been using these dies for years now. They're the best seating dies I've used for the cartridges I bought them for.
Tremendous Seating Die
Everything about this die exudes quality, precision and attention to detail . It came in a sealed box and was wrapped in protective wrapping that protects it from moisture as well as in transport. The seater sleeve fits precisely in the body and the stem fits precisely in the sleeve. Absolutely no play at all in the die. The micrometer is large with the crispest markings Ive seen on a seating die. The micrometer is marked to the nearest .001 inches but there is plenty of space between the markings to even be able to change depth by approximately .0001 inches. The micrometer movement is slightly tight but smooth so the placement is vey positive. Bullet seating depth is precise and repeatable round after round. I also very much like how there is a center 0 setting on the micrometer that allows easy calculation for more or less seating depth from a standard or default depth. Worth every penny.
Forster micrometer seating die
I currently own a Forster comp seating die and wanted something with adjustability. This is an awesome bullet seater!!!
High quality Seating die
I've used A wide variety of bullet seating dies, Hornady, Redding, RCBS, etc. So far the Forster is the most accurate and easy to adjust unit I have ever used. The fine threads on the micrometer leave plenty of room between the .001's markings, making it very easy to to adjust down to .0005's of an inch.
Skip traditional dies and just buy this!
The micrometer makes adjustments a breeze. No more gross adjustments that result in bullets seated too deeply. The case/bullet centering sleeve greatly reduces runout. The included lock ring is the best design I've used (not unique to Forster but very secure nonetheless). I use this seater die on my Dillon 650, and it eliminated rounds that were rejected by a case gauge. Prior to this die I was getting cases that passed the gauge test, but failed as loaded rounds. I believe this was due to bullets being seated non-concentrically (RCBS seating die). The Forster die eliminates these failures. If you don't need the micrometer or if money is tight I'd recommend their benchrest seater die because it still has the spring loaded centering sleeve, but costs $30 less.
My favourite die
How did I ever reload precision ammo before I got this? I didnt. Very easy to setup and simply a pleasure to adjust seating depth quickly, accurately and repeatedly. If youre considering one of these then just buy it. Youll probably end up with one for every different cartridge you reload.
The Best I've Found
I wish they made these for pistols!!! Perfect bullet alignment, and due to the design you can compact the powder, unlike with some other designs. The fact that it is one of the less expensive choices is an added plus. Always perfect OAL and perfectly repeatable. The only choice, in my opinion.
