TOP STOP AR UPPER RECEIVER COVERS

TOP STOP AR UPPER RECEIVER COVERS Reviews & Ratings

The TopStop cover is designed to snap on most AR15 or M4 type upper receivers when they are detached from the lower receiver. The TopStop completely seals the upper receiver preventing fouling from getting in or out and it stops the bolt carrier group and charging handle from sliding out as the upper is moved around. The TopStop is made out of super tough polymer and is impervious to most solvents and chemicals. This product is perfect for storing or transporting your spare upper recievers, especially in low-profile bags where the rifle must be broken down to fit.

Excellent item
This is an excellent item, if you are transporting or storing an upper without a lower attached. Secures and protects the BCG. Well made.

Great if you have more uppers than lower
Awesome. Tight fit. Keeps dirt and debris out. Also keeps bcg and charging handle in place so it doesn't fall out. I'll be getting a couple more. I wish they still made yellow.

Keeps the BCG in and lubed up.
I have a few of them in green and orange, good for storage and travel. BCG stays in with oil and or gunk if fired. I should have ordered more, and other colors to color code for different calibers. If you have any unmounted AR uppers I highly recommend them for ease of transportation and storage. The ones I have fit tightly on but not sealing so oil will seep out. Limited use unless you have spare uppers or split the upper from lower for storage or travel. If I was assembling uppers for sale, I'd order them by the case to keep BCG in place for shipping and just add it to build cost, to protect back of upper and BCG from damage and scratches.

Great for the most part.
The cover is made for uppers with the cut-out in front of the rear pin lug. The cut-out is for an auto sear. Not all upper have this cut-out since it's an extra step and not too many people have full auto. If your upper does not have the cutout, you will need to grind or cut away at the cover so that it will fit into your upper. Outside of that detail, the cover is great in keeping the BCG in place, keeping outside dirt from getting in the upper, and keeping fouling from leaving the upper and getting all over.

Super tight fit!
Fit and function are 5 stars. Quite stiff plastic. Had to wrestle it on and off my Aero Precision upper. Great piece to snap in place while transporting the firearm broken down in a case or if storing multiple uppers for one lower. Wish they also made covers for DPMS .308!

Better tight than ...
Better too tight than not tight enough, but still .... It's a good idea and well executed, and very useful for those of us who store/transport our upper and lower receivers separately. After using it a few times, though, my old hands must still attach it and remove it from the receiver with a good rap from a plastic hammer.

AR, Upper Reciever Cover
These plastic covers snap on & remove easily, cover your detached upper when storing, traveling or when doing lower receiver work. Available in Black, the one I purchased to try, also in other colors including safety yellow & orange for visibility, I will purchase more in another order soon. Note: Brownell's discount codes don't apply to this product, but the price is reasonable, though a bit high for the material. I did notice that the front edge was square, leaving a small gap, but a light filing to round the corner edge's made them fit perfectly. Keep that in mind if you want to try them. I would suggest to the manufacturer, they lower the price point and offering them in packages of 2 or 4 would be nice.
