TLR-3 COMPACT WEAPON LIGHT Reviews & Ratings

I purchased this light recently for my home defense gun, and so far, so good. I've taken it to the range and shot about 100 rounds with it on and no issues. It gives off good light, and I thought the price was right. It comes with numerous mounting options, and mounted nicely to my Walther CCP using the picatinny rail mount. It's light weight and easy to turn on. I like that it has a momentary "on" setting, and a constant "on" setting. This is not my CCW, so I don't know how it would hold up being taken in and out of a holster consistently, but for what I'm using it for, it works great. My only complaint, the directions are written so small, I could barely read them, even with my glasses on.

Ever been under a helicopter's landing light? I have. Well, maybe this TLR-3 isn't quite THAT bright, but it is a humdinger, small, lightweight, and super bright for its size, and from my perspective, just the perfect blend in focus and lateral spread of light. I regret saying that I have not fired a gun with it mounted, yet, but I have no doubt it will continue to function. The construction and materials seem, to me, to be of the highest quality.

I use this specific light on my Secondary Weapon System and I just switched from a TLR-1 which has served me flawlessly for years now. I chose to go with the smaller light for reducing the weight in which I carry. Mind you thats only one of the many things Im changing in my gear format. The quality is fantastic and identical to its bigger brothers the TLR-1 and 2. Price is always a factor with me, but not sacrificing quality and durability. This light does the job cheaper and better in some cases then the others out there. As a matter of fact, I just ordered another one this week. I would suggest this light for any Private Contractor, Military Personel or LEO, who is working at night. Or any one of those who like more compact gear too. You all know what I mean too. They say to work smarter not harder and this light fits in that catagory. Cheers!

The Best on Remington 870 W/ EXTENDED MAG TUBE due to the "distance" between the mounting rail(of the flashlight) and the actual light itself.Best "mated" w/ the SHOTGUN TRI RAIL MOUNT FROM LASERLYTE.Recommend installation:MAGAZINE TUBE BEHIND THE CLAMP W/SWIVEL REMOVED AND INSTALLED BELOW THE "BARREL RING."USE THE LOWER RAIL OF TRI RAIL MOUNT. Rail Key "B" is best and most sturdy. DO NOT install E-CLIP until you have installed said tlr on tri mount-save that until tension bolt has been tightened and the whole tlr is already on the gun.It will be a "tight fit" and the tension bolt must be loosened considerably when you slide it on to the tri-rail mount-you have the CLEAR the MAGAZINE TUBE CLAMP FIRST. Once all this is done, this is one very strong unit and "SHE AINT GOIN NO WHERE!" Do not forget to put a drop of gun oil on tension bolt per instructions. The E CLIP is a little tricky but once it's on, it's on. You'll notice that the MAGAZINE TUBE CLAMP ALSO PROVIDES AN EXTRA DEGREE OF PROTECTION/STURDINESS TOWARDS THE TLR 3 ALSO.You will notice a SMALL BUT NEGLIGIBLE SHADOW OF THE BARREL-YOU WONT EVEN NOTICE-.

I have it mounted on my Sig P220R using the picatiny key. Fits just right, easy to install and doesn't mark the rail. The beam is very bright, travels a good distance and provides a wide, well lit path of light. I put it through the paces during a night qual. and it didn't flicker a bit.

This light is very light weight incredibly small and and extremely bright for its price range. fits the xd40 service to perfection. couldn't be happier!

I have the TLR3 mounted to my 9mm Sig 2022. Had an incident about 6 months ago where at 3am someone was kicking in my front door. I covered the door from the top of my stairs and was fully prepared to dispatch whoever was coming thru my door. Good thing I had my TLR3 because the person beating my door was a local police officer that had just returned to police duty from war torn Iraq and his knock and talk was really an aggressive flashback. When he came through the door I was able to ID him and the situation was resolved without deadly force being used. This situation was cleared up and the next day I invited him over and we discussed the what if's and how bad this could have turned out. He is now back to normal and is very thankful of my restraint due to my TLR-3 weapons light. I highly recommend this lighting system to anyone that is looking for a high quality, medium cost weapons light.

This light is light and compact. It is brighter than the other compact light that fits the XD 40 at 90 lumens vs 50/60 lumens and has a much longer burn time.

This light packs a large punch for the price. Highly recommend!

I am on my third light because the left rail is plastic and cracks and the light falls off the pistol. Streamlight need to make the left rail of a metal. Customer service is good though! They have replaced it every time. Would not buy it again.
