The best laser/light unit on the market!
Overall, this unit was my 1st choice after shopping current market. Its designed to fit your choice of modern tactical auto out of the box & comes with 4 adapter keys(perpendicular to mounting rail).Fit my G21 like a glove, and added around 2.5oz,aiding muzzle flip.Ambidextrous toggle switch cups either side of trigger-guard.I still have 1/2" overlap with average size trigger-finger & easy to use.Unit is very well built & only the toggle & laser housing are polymer, the rest aluminum/steel.Holds zero very well when R&R'd & slapped around.Put 60 downrange using laser, still like new(thanx to window-shine),laser needed minor re-adjustment afterwards, which is no sweat if your sights are on.The light IS AWESOME!Same with strobe function.Instant blindness guarantee!Red laser extremely bright, easily seen at 60yrds.after sunset and is still very small on side of neighbors house(its how I zero windage, what?)Streamlight also offers a replacement rear cover(separately)with no toggle switch to plug in 1 of those palm/grip pressure switches for more versatility, including tactical long guns. The cat loves it too.I would give it 7 stars if it had a green colored laser with pulse option. Fantastic Light
I have had the TLR-2 mounted to my Sig P226 (9mm), P220, and currently my XD-45 Tactical (in service for about 4 or 5 years). I use it in a duty situation on the South side of Chicago and it gets it's share of abuse. It's ease of use as well as it's dependability are a fantastic part of this light.
deadly combo
I have TLR-2 mounted on a P-226 SIG . It is a terrific combo of laser/light. The selection switch with temporary or continuous on and toggle for light only, laser only, or both on is right at my fingertips. The laser while a little tricky to sight in at first , once you have it you have it. The laser remains right on even after removal and remounting on picatinny. Great life on 3V battery also. It is well worth the price and very well built and reliable. Both laser and lite are very bright.
