TLR-1 WEAPON LIGHT

TLR-1 WEAPON LIGHT Reviews & Ratings

Powerful weapon-mounted light fully illuminates target with an amazing 300 lumens of intense, white light. Ambidextrous, momentary or constant-on paddle switch lets you control light output to match your needs. High-output C4® LED lamp with impact-resistant Borofloat glass lens and deep-dish parabolic reflector produces a uniform beam with peripheral illumination and no hot spots or shadows. TLR-1 produces continuous output. TLR-1s adds a strobe setting instantly activated by two, rapid, successive taps on the paddle. Solid-state current regulation system maintains consistent illumination level through battery life cycle. Lightweight, machined 6000 series aluminum construction doesn’t upset weapon balance, yet withstands hard field use. Locking bar system has interchangeable locating keys for mounting to MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny, Glock-style, S&W 99, S&W TSW, and Beretta 90-Two accessory rails. Fits all holsters designed to accept pistols mounted with the earlier Streamlight M-3/-5/-6 series lights.

Great light! Surprising range!
I recently bought the TLR-1 standard light, and have been quite impressed with the brightness and range of light penetration that it has even with only 300 lumens.

Well made, works with a broad range of g
I mounted this on a Polymer80 build, and it looks good and functions flawlessly. It comes with a number of rail keys so it can be mounted on a broad array of handguns. The Glock key was already installed on the light, so all I had to do was install the batteries and mount it on my Polymer80. The only negative to this light that I found is the battery compartment can be a chore to get open; I guess that could be considered a positive, as presumably it is unlikely to become unmatched while being used.

Works as described
I ordered this to attach it to a magpul forend with a rail. It fit no problem and is easily turned on and off from its attached position.

Great light across the board.
These are installed on all departmentally issued rifles and pistols, over 100 each. They are easy to operate and work well in any low light condition where a gun light is needed. I have lights seeing daily use lasting for years with no issues.

Worth the price
I wanted a light that would look good on my EDC, a Beretta 92A1. This fits the bill perfectly. I wound up using the 1913 rail adapter piece, but I did have to file off the piece a little bit to get it to fit inside the rail, but that did offer me a very tight fit. A few days ago I obtained a P320 M17 Bravo, and after swapping to the p320 adapter piece, it seems to work well on there, too. When I have more funds, I plan on buying two more. One for the M17 and another for my home defense AR-15. Quality product. My only gripe is that it doesn't accept 18650 cells. It chews through CR123s for breakfast, which I was able to find for .75 cents each, but still isn't cheap. If it took 18650s or other comparable rechargable LI-ION, this would be the perfect light.

Reliable, efficient, sturdy
My TLR-1 has been on my sidearm for the last eight years as a big city police officer. It sees daily use as I work evenings, and has withstood thousands of .45 rounds. The only thing it's ever needed has been batteries, and they last a long time, maybe requiring changing once a year. I'm currently making the switch from Glock to S&W and I'll be purchasing a TLR-1s instead for my new pistol without a second thought. My old and trusted TLR-1 will now be retired as light duty (pun intended) on my home defense weapon. One piece of advice I can offer is that although Streamlight does make these in much brighter configurations, the lumen output of the TLR-1 and the TLR-1s are (in my opinion) the light output you want for indoor applications. Anything brighter and you end up blinding yourself from the reflected light and invite the likelyhood of backlighting/silhouetting yourself with all that light.

Great light!
I put this light on my 1911 Kimber Warrior. It's a really easy light to use, and the ability to operate all it's function with on finger is great! This just works perfectly with my 1911!

Will light up the night
I mounted the TLR-1s on the right handguard rail of an AR platform with a CCA BVG vertical grip. The activation switch is easily accessible with support hand's thumb, both intermittent and "on". Selecting strobe is "iffy" with this configuration, but it's not something I'm likely to use anyway (but nice to have available).

Great Light
Have this mounted on my bedside XD and I couldn't be happier. Fit is extremely good and puts the switch where it is easy to activate while maintaining a good grip. This unit is very tough and withstands 9mm recoil very well. I have dropped it twice with absolutely no adverse effects. Battery life is very good. I have found no cons regarding thisd light. It is a great weapon mounted light that, I expect, will give many years of service.

Excellent product!
As usual, here is another excellent product from Streamlight! I own many products from Streamlight and they continue to impress me every time I get another one! I mounted this light on my Bushmaster AR-15 as a alternative to the usual weapon mounted light options. I choose this light since it's controls are easy to operate and the output of this small light is simply unbelievable! This unit takes up little rail space, is very compact and light. I was also impressed at how well this unit is built. The craftsmanship is quality throughout. I ran through 500 rounds my last range trip with this light attached. If your familiar with the AR platform, than you know how hot they can get! The rail was too hot to touch and the light wasn't far behind. The light never quit! I will be purchasing a few more of these in the future for a few more of my other guns. If your looking for a great light at a great price, look no further. Get one! You won't be disappointed!
