While many users report impressive performance, some express concerns about inconsistencies in accuracy, particularly at high velocities. A few reviewers experienced unexpected group size variations and have pointed to issues, such as potential melting tips, as a possible cause for these discrepancies, raising doubts about reliability.

Awesome bullets
I’ve been hand loading these rounds since they hit the market. They absolutely shoot a single bug hole at 100m
Sierra TMK is my favorite.
I shoot an AR10, 16" barrel, and easily do 1/2" group at 100 yards, and hit 5" plates at 600yrds, and best fun is 10" plates at 1,000 yards...
Consistent (last batch) & accurate
Expensive but when you calculate the cost per miss, not as bad as you originally though. They fly well out of a 300WM @ 3100fps.

Accurate when seated right
The 69 TMK performs great in my 1:9 and 1:8 twist barrels. I get the best results when it is seated out to provide a 0.020 jump with a slower powder like N140 or H4895. I doesn't perform as when limited by an AR magazine. My bolt actions don't have that problem and that is where it really shines.
Great bullet for a 6.5mm Creedmoor
The 130 Tipped Match King is a very accurate bullet if you seat it out longer to accommodate the longer plastic tip. When I load it out at least 0.050 longer than Sierra's recommended O.A.L. (that is minimal to accommodate the AR magazine limits), it is incredible how accurate that this bullet can be. I have three 6.5mm Creedmoor bolt actions and they all shoot the 130 TMK at the top of their accuracy loads.
Accurate target bullet
Sierra Tipped Match Kings amaze me with their accuracy. I found that I have increase the O.A.L. by about 0.050 or more than the Sierra recommendation to get the best accuracy. I believe the Sierra O.A.L. recommendation is based upon the limitations of the AR-10 magazine but if you have a bolt action 30 cal, they need to be loaded longer because there is a 0.070 tip that needs to be accounted for. Sierra TMKs in 155 through 195 are at the top of my bullet accuracy lists for two of my .308 bolt actions. they hold the top 11 and top 12 positions respectively.
Nice heavy AR bullet
First off, there's another review for this product that complains about poor accuracy and groups opening up inexplicably, and the reviewer asserts it may be because the tips are melting. A closer reading of that review shows the reviewer just doesn't understand that barrel harmonics can impact group size and you need to reload for the sweet spot on your barrel/gun. The tips are not melting. Anyway, I like these bullets as a heavy AR bullet. I like to use Vihtavuouri powder for the temperature consistency and have trouble getting the Sierra's 77gn TMK to fit within the 2.260" COAL with N140. I was able to get a good 25.2gn load with very little compression using this bullet, N140, and Starline brass. We were shooting right around 1 MOA at 100 yards with a cheap Palmetto AR. This was including some errors with trigger pull, the group height was less than a quarter inch. It gets as accurate as my AR will go and resists deflection from wind much better than a 55gn load.
TMK bullets are incredibly accurate
The 77 gr TMKs are very accurate, especially when loaded out for around a 0.010 to 0.020 jump, depending on your barrel. Sierra recommended O.A.L. is biased by the short AR magazine length. The O.A.L.s that work best for my bolt action rifles are at least 0.9 longer than the 2.260 recommendation. In my ARs I use a single round follower and seat them out at 2.320 to 2.340 when I want to get the best accuracy. I use these even in my 1:9 twist barrels and they are the most accurate of all the bullets I've shot, even better than the 69 TMKs that are a close second. I use TMKs almost exclusively now.
77 GR TMK
I was able to put 3 out of 3 rounds in a 3" circle at 300 yards with my 5.56 1-7 16" machine grade barrel using a Nikon scope with the BDC reticle. I was using my Caldwell Lead Sled DFT 2 shooting rest. I have loaded several other bullets including the Sierra 77 GR HPBT but not with these results. I ordered several boxes as I have found my go to bullet.
