Ideal for attaching 5/8-24 muzzle brakes, suppressors, or any other alignment critical devices to your AR-15/M16 barrel. Both Internal and external threads are single point cut in same operation to tight UNEF Class-3 tolerances for perfect concentricity and alignment. Compact design moves muzzle device only .100” forward maintaining full thread joint strength. Precision CNC machined from pre-hardened HTSR 400 series stainless steel bar for superior heat and corrosion resistance. Available in an advanced PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) matte-black finish, offering exceptional durability and corrosion resistance at high temperatures, making it ideal for full auto fire as well as suppressor applications. Also available in a matte stainless finish.


HTSR 416 stainless steel, HRC 26-32, PVD matte black finish - or - matte stainless finish. .625" long, .825" OD, .750" wrench flats. All are right hand threads.

1/2-28 t0 5/8-24 thread adapter
I bought this thread adapter to use a 6.5 muzzle brake on a bolt action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmore which has a threaded barrel in 1/2-28, the threads which are common on smaller caliber AR-15 barrels. This thread adapter's diameter is very close to that of the rifle's barrel, which is a "standard" contour barrel. If you can find a muzzle brake which matches the diameter of your rifle's barrel this thread adapter, which is steel, will enable you to get a smooth appearance at the end of your barrel. I used a muzzle brake which has ports to the side, which is a bit larger diameter, but it looks good in my opinion. The addition of the thread adapter between the barrel and the muzzle brake takes up a space which is equivalent to a crush washer.

Best thread adapter
Most barrels today don't have enough O.D. to thread 5/8-24 so you need an adapter. These are the finest we have ever used in the shop. The machining is done in one operation on a CNC so the O.D. & I.D. threads are in prefect line running true. This insures you will not get a baffle strike as long as the barrel threads are cut straight with the bore.
