A customer gave 1 star because the bipod tilt was tight. First, remove extended tilt lever (podloc). Then take off screw dust cover to expose a lock nut and washer. Use a wrench to loosen or tighten tilt of lock nut. Replace dust cap and lever. Heavy duty built with great design of narrow leg stance or widen. Adjustable leg height that has good locking. Why 4 stars: some of the screws had rust, attaching rod for sling swivel is long, so you have to remove bipod to fit rifle case. The two tightening screws slowly comes loose. The retangluar legs have sharp edges that should be debarred or rounded. Last is price: I own a couple of Harris bipod, versa pod, Caldwell and hand full of cheap brands.

Mount on my Weatherby vanguard 308. Easy to installed. I'm tired of those spring design Bi-pod all of them are giving up in long period of time. Sinclair Bi-pod is very solid on any surface,one hand adjustment and good groupings next. Just loctite all the screws and you never have issues.

I didn't want one of the many bi-pods with screen door springs on the outside of the legs. I like the wide stance of the Sinclair bi-pod a lot, and the machined aluminum is a work of art. I just returned from the first range trip with this bi-pod and the two set screws that attach the pull knob to the stainless rod that passes through the sling stud backed out. Fortunately, I discovered this before the tiny set screws backed all the way out and were lost. Also fortunately, I had the small Allen wrench and a small bottle of blue Loctite in my huge range bag and I was able to fix it in about ten minutes at the range and keep shooting. Otherwise, it would have ruined one of the few times a year I'm able to sneak away to shoot. After reading the other reviews, I'm now going to Loctite every fastener on this bi-pod. Considering what I paid, it looks like this would have already been done. There's a lot of wiggle and rattle which makes this bi-pod seem cheap and flimsy until the weight of the rifle is on the bi-pod. Then it locks up solidly for accurate shooting.

Shot my first F-class match with it today and easily added 7 points to my typical match score that I had been getting with the other popular brand of bipod. This bipod has a much wider stance which enabled me to keep my target within my scope's field of view right after a shot. The cant adjustment held rock steady for the whole match, unlike my old bipod that would drift it's cant adjustment with barrel torque as a match went on causing my groups to drift to the left. The only thing I would like to see improved on this bipod is to take some of the slack out of the leg swivel pivot locking arrangement. Maybe either run a tighter tolerance on the locking pin mechanism, or go with a springed leg arrangement with a positive stop. For now, as long as I remember to preload the legs before squeezing off a shot, all is well.

These bipods are solid and steady to shoot off. They are very adjustable. But I don't like the way the legs can come unattached when you push down on the knelled slider. Also the machine screws that hold the legs on come loose and fall out, they need to be loctited in, this has happened to a friend as well as me.

I have had this bipod about 3 months & used it often in place of my name brand bipods, which I like. The Sinclair tactical fits the traditional front stud, good for me. The Sinclair is much sturdier than the others (but heavier), and the best feature for me is that the legs cant out individually, so the perfect height can be obtained. I used mine on the bench, and prone, shooting PD's. I used a 22-243 13 lb rifle with this bipod and it was like a rock. Didn't give it a 5 star as it tended to have a little slop in the legs. Still, when bipod loaded forward, super sturdy. legs height adjustments are spring loaded & thus adjustable from the prone shooting position. Unusual attachment of bipod to stud, but allows the bipod to be very securely attached.
