SWAGE GAGE™ PRIMER POCKET GAUGE

SWAGE GAGE™ PRIMER POCKET GAUGE Reviews & Ratings

BALLISTIC TOOLS INC. SWAGE GAGE PRIMER POCKET GAUGE

Stop guessing about your primer pockets. Know for sure with the Swage Gage Primer Pocket Gauge. Available for Small or Large primers. Check primer pocket depth and diameter. Use the "Go" end of the gauge to check primer pocket depth, if any crimp is properly removed, and if the primer pocket is loose. If it feels loose on the "Go" end of the gauge, use the other end of the tool, the "No Go" end, to test if the primer pocket is too loose to hold a primer. If the No-Go gauge slides into the pocket, then you know to junk that brass.

Great Product
Easy to decide when to toss out your brass. If no go end fits into your primer pocket, you toss that piece of brass. Very simple and effective.

Must Have
Had a problem with used brass. Blowing primers out of the pocket, jamming the action. Powder charge in mid range of recommended load range. Correct powder. Stumped. found these at Brownells, you know, there are a lot of things I'd do for $25.00. This was the answer worth every cent. If you reload using reman or range brass get both large and small.

Every reloader needs one of these
Takes out the guesswork on primer pockets, why did I wait so long to buy the Swage Gage. I found out my swager was making the primer pocket too large

Must have tool
As advertised. Saves time, makes for more accurate set up of swage press and leaves no doubt that primers fit properly.
5
Must have tool for reloading
Great tool for making sure the primer pocket is ready to accept a new primer. It is aggravating trying to press in a new primer if the pocket hasn't been prepped properly. This tool takes the guess work out of the equation in a couple seconds. It lets you know if enough crimp has been removed as well as the depth of the primer pocket.

Save those primers
With the shortage of primers these days, taking an extra few seconds to check the case pockets can save wasting primers. This little, convenient tool is a quick and easy way to avoid wasting primers and tell if the brass case is ready to be reloaded. Those of us who reload in batches, taking our time, and check each case will benefit from this item.
