Stop guessing about your primer pockets. Know for sure with the Swage Gage Primer Pocket Gauge. Available for Small or Large primers. Check primer pocket depth and diameter. Use the "Go" end of the gauge to check primer pocket depth, if any crimp is properly removed, and if the primer pocket is loose. If it feels loose on the "Go" end of the gauge, use the other end of the tool, the "No Go" end, to test if the primer pocket is too loose to hold a primer. If the No-Go gauge slides into the pocket, then you know to junk that brass.

Save those primers

With the shortage of primers these days, taking an extra few seconds to check the case pockets can save wasting primers. This little, convenient tool is a quick and easy way to avoid wasting primers and tell if the brass case is ready to be reloaded. Those of us who reload in batches, taking our time, and check each case will benefit from this item.

A must for AR15 High Power

After a primer popped out of one of my high pressure long line loads and stopped my rifle in mid match I decided to get a gauge to identify loose primer pockets. It wasn't a problem when I used a single stage press and a hand primer to load everything because I could feel a loose primer pocket. When I started to use a progressive to load I lost the ability to feel that loose pocket. This gauge is perfect for determining a loose primer pocket or one that did not swage well an its cost beats buying a set of pin gauges.

Best way to check Large Primer Pockets

I should of had this tool a long time ago. Having a snug primer pocket for my reloads provides a consistent load with better groups and better Std Devs.

Works great

I recently got back into reloading, while prepping.223, I noticed when priming, some of my brass, the primers were going in loosely, and some so lose the primer would fall out. A particular brand of brass had lose primer pockets, then I started micing, which was a pain, I found this swage gauge, started using it soon as I got it, works great, I would recommend this product to anyone who likes to reload.

Must have piece of reloading kit

This tool is useful in screening brass for oversized primer pockets BEFORE you put any work beyond depriming in a case. It also allows you to carefully tune primer pocket decrimping process more reliably than just going by feel. It is simple,quick,and unambivalent in use.

Great tool to have

Great tool that lets me know whether the primer pocket from used brass is tired and oversized already. I check every pc so i get no wasted primers. Makes for easy primer install.

Never Reload without it

I never reload any 6.5 Creedmoor or .308 brass without checking the primer pocket with this device. I've had numerous primers pop out in the past before I started using it. This device gives me confidence that the primers will still be in the casing after being shot and not jammed in the mechanism somewhere.
