Just what I needed to extend the grip for my hand. Still very concealable.
VASTLY IMPROVES THE HITABILITY!
I bought a SHIELD 2.0 in 9mm as a potential replacement for the 5-shot J-frame that I carry as my back-up gun. As a back-up gun, it will be holstered in my front pants pocket. I want to be able to use the 7-shot magazine, but there's no place for my pinky finger. As such, I cannot do good work with the pistol unless I use the 8-shot magazine. This Pearce grip adapter replaces the factory floor plate in about 5 seconds. It doesn't make the grip any longer, but it creates a horizontal hook/pinky hanger that give my XL-size hand a full 3-finger grip. With this in place, I can do good work. I like this part so much that I've ordered one for each carry mag and each practice mag. Try it; you'll like it!
Preferred add-on for M&P Shield
These enable a proper, full grip for most people on the standard magazine without excessive length to compromise the ability conceal the weapon or the sliding spacer issue that the factory +1 magazines have in their standard configuration. Installation is as simple as changing the floor plate during a normal magazine cleaning. As others have said, I don't know why these aren't the standard factory floor plate. Until they are, I'll add them to every one of my standard Shield mags.
This should have been OEM
S&W should have put these on as standard equipment. Adds just enough extra length to allow a full five finger grip for me. I prefer the feel to that of the 8 round extended grip and the mag doesn't drag on my palm to impede a free drop during a mag change the way the S&W extended mag does. Installation is as easy as it gets.

Worthwhile upgrade
These should come with the factory magazines. It gives you the option to get a full grip on a small handgun without giving up concealability. They are easy to install and fit well without sharp edges to pinch your hands when reloading.

THE SHIELD IS A CONCEALMENT MADE S&W 9MM..WITH THE GUN BEING MADE AS SMALL AS POSSIBLE THE GUN SHOOTS VERY WELL AND THE RECOIL IS VERY LOW AND VERY EAST TO CONTROL. WHEN I ADDED THE EXTENSION ON IT FELT AS IF I HAD A GRIP PUT ON THAT ALLOWED MY HAND TO GRIP SO MUCH BETTER THAN BEFORE. I HAVE A LARGE FRAME HAND AND MY PINKY FINGER WAS BARELY ON THE GRIP. NOW IT IS PERFECTLY PLACED ON THE GRIP SO MY PINKY ASCTUALLY HOLDS ON AS MUCH AS ANY OTHER FINGER ALLOWING FOR MOREE ACCURATE SHOOTING FASTER SIGHTING BACK ON TARGET AND ALLOWING FOR FAIRLY ACCURATE ONE HANDED SHOOTING WITH HV AMMO. IN THE GUN. ALL AROUND BEST $10.00 IVE SPENT FOR THE GUN..ANYONE WHO DOESNT LIKE THE FEEL OF THE S&W SHIELD NEEDS TO SNAP THIS IN PLACE AND BE WOWED AT THE DIFFERENCE. IT INSTALLS IN 60 SECONDS OR LESS..I WOULD RECCOMEND THIS TO ANYONE WHO OWNS THIS GUN..
Had to file to fit but works great
Got it, sliped it on my mag, mag would not lock in gun, removed, filed, sliped back on mag, mag locked in gun. Feels much more comfortable then without it. So in a nutshell it works but had to file to work, no big deal for me.
