S&W M&P EXTENDED MAGAZINE BASE PAD

S&W M&P EXTENDED MAGAZINE BASE PAD Reviews & Ratings

Two-piece, extended base pad replaces factory pad to increase magazine capacity without compromising reliability. Molded from impact-resistant, fiberglass-reinforced nylon to protect your magazine from damage when ejected onto hard ground or pavement. Checkered bottom panel assists in fast, positive, non-slip, mag changes. Locks securely to the magazine body and lets you retain the factory magazine spring. Removes quickly and easily to reinstall factory pad and return mag to original spec. For low-stress applications where the mag will not be ejected onto hard surfaces. Use the L-shaped locking insert for extra-secure attachment and five additional rounds for 40S&W or an additional six rounds for 9mm. Overall magazine length will remain below 140mm for competition use.

SPECS: Fiberglass-filled nylon, black.

Wonderful addition
Easy to install. I used the original spring but had to manually stretch it out a bit so the empty mag would activate the slide lock. It is not bulky and fits in my hand comfortably. I highly recommend!

thats amason , great , excelente
I ordered 1 just to see what they were all about. The install was a little difficult but it was accomplished without producing a hernia. I do like the way it looks . The additional surface area this provides can be used to increase your " grip purchase " on your firearm.. So for a nominal amount of weight . You can increase mag capacity by approx 34% for a 9mm - 17 round magazine . Thats 6 rounds of 9mm ammo. I wished I would have ordered 2 instead of only 1 , because now as of this review they are back ordered.

Works as good as factory original
I've never had a problem with the base pads. A bit of a hassle to get on and you have to keep the magazine spring fresh if using OEM length but otherwise you can put these base pads on and forget about them. They stay on the tube too.

I just wish it was metal.
For the price these seem very well made. For the Just started using them, and Im pleased so fare. Time will tell after a number load and reloads of the mag and my S&W9. I just hope they last for the slapping in the mags with the force I use to insert the mag in the gun.
