If you don't mind a little work, these grips are great. They stipple well, and reshape easily. I usually fit grips to my liking, so that is a non-issue. For the money, you can't beat them... and I have them on a few of my J-frames. BTW, I have J-frames ranging from early production to recent. There are small variations in grip frames, so it's good to have a little extra material.

Yes, sand a bit here and there for a perfect fit - 2-3 minutes. Speedloaders? The small safariland ones work grest, the larger HKS don't. The safariland speedloaders are way better anyway. Grip texture is perfect, grippy but not abrasive. Best grips for the money you can get for a j-frame. If you're feeling froggy get the VZ boot grips for x3 the price, but these grips are great.

Personally, I think these grips look awful. However, they are great to carry - no checkering to chafe, fit well to at least two different K frames and have an effective grip shape. My fingers are short and the grip still allows decent trigger pull with fill behind the trigger guard. They also improve overall control for me over S&W panels but are less hand filling than Pacmayr or Hogue rubber grips. I also like them more than G10 composite grips I have tried. At the price point, I figured they were worth a try. Unfortunately, they are the best concealed carry grips I have found. They will not win a beauty contest, but form over function.

I have large hands and I can get a full grip with these on my K-frame without my pinky finger hanging off. ...and they're not grippy rubber that pulls on my clothes when holstered or in a IWB or Pancake holster. I'm convinced that people who buy sticky rubber grips don't carry there guns for a living.

I rated these a 5 star not because they are the best grips available, but because they are the best grips available for under $50+. I have 2-3 different sets for my S&W J-frames and love them all. When they came they needed a little attention, but some sand paper and oil took care of that. Still well worth it.

I ordered two sets of the textured version for round butt K-frames, a 19-4 and a 65-3. They're definitely slim and concealable, though possibly not large enough for big mitts. I don't shoot many magnums through these guns, but even with the texturing the guns get a little squirrelly. No issues with .38s, though, even heavy-bullet +P rounds. Specs vary quite a bit on older K-frames. These grips fit great on my 65, but leave fairly large gaps on my 19.

Honestly would have given a 5, but they cut the web of my hand after my first cylinder full. I have these grips on a 2.5" Smith 66. I shot a cylinder of Gold Dot .357 mags, and the recoil caused the grip to gun the web of my hand. They needed to be sanded and smoothed at the top of the backstrap because they were oversized just enough to gouge me during recoil. Got home, trimmed them up a bit and smoothed them out. Now they are great. I'll try them again when I heal. They are very concealable and comfortable. Just need to fit better from the git go. I recommend examining the fit really close before shooting!

I was looking for a grip for my J frame Smith&amp Wesson and liked the color and texture very tactical looking. I was a little disappointed with the fit however, it would make better sense to form the grip to fit the guns it is designed to be put on. Just an opinion there. That said I was able to grind them down to look and feel acceptable to me I use the Safariland speedloaders if you use speed loaders you will have to grind this section out of the left grip panel use caution to much and gap will expose. Glass bed to cover unsightly cuts. As you can see lot of effort to use the hideout grip but they are a handsome look to an already nice looking revolver. Good-luck!

I gave these grips 3 stars primarily because the grips, while they went on without problem, did not fit my K frame like I expected. There was a large gap where the grips come together behind the trigger guard and the grips were not large enough to totally cover the left and right outside edges of the backstrap. This gave the grips a undersized, sloppy look. For the price, however, they are adequate, but just barely.

I'd say they are "ok". The fit to the frame isn't perfect. It'll require some sanding. They work, but I'd rather use the factory grips vs. these. My thoughts are to pick something different if you can afford to do so.
