STUCK CASE PULLER COLLETS

STUCK CASE PULLER COLLETS Reviews & Ratings

BROWNELLS STUCK CASE PULLER COLLETS

Works when other pullers fail, even if the case rim is partially sheared away. Sturdy, steel collets tightly grip around the entire circumference of the case rim. Slide hammer uses straight-back inertia to safely remove stubborn, stuck cases.

Will not fit AR-15 and requires a .700 bolt diameter or larger to work.

It works
This collet worked fantastic to remove a stuck 338 Lapua round stuck in a chamber. With a large slide hammer the round came right out.

Quality tool
I bought the Brownells stuck case puller to remove a live 30-06 round that was stuck in the chamber of my 1925 .30 caliber Springfield Model 1903 rifle. I followed the directions and, after a few attempts, I was able to safely and successfully remove the live round without damaging the rifle or igniting the powder charge. I inspected the chamber once the round was removed and determined the cause was a small foreign object that was easily seen on the wall of the chamber with a bore light. I removed the foreign object with a medium sized cleaning swab soaked with WD40. I then test-cycled a full sized dummy round to be sure the foreign object was removed. I easily loaded and ejected the dummy round multiple times. I would give this tool the highest possible marks for quality and usefulness.

This tool is a true firearm saver.
I got a live round stuck in one of my prized Colt Sauers (Sauer 90). These fine firearms are fitted with a "signal pin", to alert you to a round (or spent case) is in the firing chamber. This tool easily pulled the stuck round, almost like it was never stuck in the first case. The collet needed to have a groove cut into it to clear the signal pin, that took all of five minutes. The round was then easily, safely removed from an irreplaceable firearm. The little handle that comes with it, to tighten the collet, fit poorly, too loosely, but a handy metal rod the right size did the trick to allow me to secure the collet to the cartridge head and remove it. Otherwise i would have given it five stars. Many kudos to Brownell for producing such a creative and functional tool.
