Stevens Favorite Stock Buttplate
I installed this on the buttstock I'm refinishing for a Favorite 1915 22lr. It comes contoured but had to heat up to fit it properly to the stock. From there I had to grind the edge down to to match the stock and then finished with sanding by hand. Now that it's fit I'm ready to pull it back off and start applying the stain to my stock. I'll fix a minor gap on the edge between buttstock and plate during final fit up. Downside? Just had to find the right screws to fit the plate and the stock. I found some black coated furniture screws at my local hardware store. All the online sources were out of stock for the screws that I needed.
